Beware Of The Gospel According To The New Age Movement (part 2) by Nobody: 12:26pm On Jul 29, 2012
Last week, we looked at what the New Age Movement is about and what some of their beliefs are. We also took time to highlight the stand of Scripture on each of these beliefs. We discovered not surprisingly that these beliefs are contrary to God’s Word. Brethren it is important for us to know that the doctrine of Jesus Christ is one. It is a chain. Disbelieving one breaks the chain and annuls whatever stand you take on the other issues.
This week we shall conclude by considering the remaining two of their major beliefs and as usual state what the Bible says about them.

Belief 7
Global unity: it is the hope of the adherents of the New Age movement that there will be a single world leader who will guide the world into a single harmonious role. It is also hoped that this leader will unite the world into a spiritual unity; that is, a one-world religion.

What does the Bible say?
Does the above not remind you of what the Bible says about the Antichrist? Please read with me 2 Thess 2:3-4 “Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.”

Belief 8
There are no moral absolutes in the New Age movement. They claim that God have no specific requirements as to morality, belief, and behavior. This implies that morality is relative.
Also, they claim to have a spiritual tolerance for all "truth systems." They call this "harmonization."

Please Pause for a while!
Before we go to what the Bible says, I want us to look at these.
Have you now seen why some ministers do not see anything wrong with a believer living in sin and yet such a person is a leader in the church? This is because there are no moral absolutes. That is why stealing can be right. For example, churches can be granted import duty waivers not minding whether the country is defrauded of its deserved revenue or not. It is alright as long as we use the money for the expansion of the “kingdom of God”. I ask whose kingdom? That of the holy God?

Church members stealing from their places of work to help finance “kingdom” activities “attracts” reciprocal blessings from God because He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, will supply and multiply the seed they have sown. Hmmmm! Are we saying that God will bless unrepentant thieves, criminals and rogues? See how the Word of God is twisted for selfish reasons. God help the Church!!!
Also statements such as “Christ may not be the only way, after all”, “it is not for me to say that this one will go to heaven or not”, “we are all serving one God, the difference is the approach”. These are statements credited to some church leaders with very large congregations. As you can see they are in tandem with those of the new age movement’s spiritual tolerance for all "truth systems" or spiritual "harmonization."

What does the Bible say?
1. God has moral standards.
God is holy. That is He is separated from sin and devoted to seeking His own honour. He is the holy One of Israel (Ps 71:22). He says in Lev 19:2 “You shall be holy, for I the LORD your God am holy.” Without holiness no man shall see the Lord (Heb 12:14). The Bible says that we are saved and called with a holy calling (2 Tim 2:9). Also see Gal 5:19-21 “Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.”
Without mincing words God has moral standards and expectations from those who say that they belong to Christ.

2. Jesus is the only Way to God
While the other religions is trying to get to God to no avail, in Christianity God reaches man through His Son Jesus Christ.
Our Lord Jesus Christ says this of Himself in John 3:16 &18
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”
Also look at John 14:6; John 10:10; 2 Tim 2:5 et al.
From these passages it is clear that Jesus Christ is the only Way to God. This no other religion accepts. To deny this fact that Christ is the only Way, Truth and Life means denying the Person of the Lord Jesus whom you claim to be your Lord and Master.

Conclusion
My brethren in the Lord Jesus Christ whether we believe it not, a “mystery of iniquity” is at work. This reminds us that the end is near; evil is increasing progressively and unrestrained. Apostasy in the church is reaching an alarming proportion (Mt 24:12; 2 Tim 4:3-4). The Bible talks about God sending a deluding influence on those who do not love the truth (2 Thess 2:9-11). Is there any wonder therefore that these false ministers have very large congregations and their places of worship filled to the brim? The “mystery of iniquity” (or the spirit of rebellion) operates behind the scenes throughout the course of human history, preparing the way for the rebellion and the man of lawlessness. This process entraps unbelievers and makes many within the church to turn from the truth of God’s Word and embrace the lies embodied in the apostate church.
The New Age movement is a spirit against true Biblical faith and divine law. It seeks freedom from moral restraint and it takes pleasure in sin. Although this spirit has existed in the days of the early apostles in the Bible but it has increased astronomically in our days.

My brothers and sisters in the Lord, take a look at the messages of your pastors again and compare what they say with what you have read these two weeks. Are they saying the same thing? If yes, prayerfully look elsewhere.
What are the emphases of your pastor? Are his emphases or messages same as those of our Lord Jesus Christ and the early apostles? If yes, remain. If not, I advice strongly that you look elsewhere if really you want to make heaven. You know what, the blind can never lead the blind (Mt 15:14). These people are not true ministers of God. They do not have God in them because they do not abide in the doctrine of Jesus Christ (2 John 9). Forget whether they speak in tongues or prophesy or perform miracles. Don’t be fooled by their large congregations, miracles, signs and wonders, stupendous wealth etc. All these are not the signs of God’s approval of a ministry (Mt 7:15-23). If you decide to remain having known this truth, you become a partaker of their evil deeds (2 John 9-11; Rom 16:17).

Like our Lord Jesus said in Rev 2:7 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”

God bless you.
