some men of God claims to fast for considerable periods in a year, but its there word against there word.I have tried fasting and i knew how hard it can become, in fact if one persevere your stomach will start to digest itself, so safe for Dear Jesus and a few Men of God in the old testament Elijah and another one no other prophet of old lay claim to these longer than long fasting. In the Old Testament, those God-fearing people who are faithful to God can fast for 40 days or longer. Because 2,000 years ago they have only few foods and drink: fish, loaves of bread, wine and other grains from their own gardens and river.

Today's all food produce too many chemicals, fake flavors and buy ungodly foods (pork, seafood, and exotic poultry) that make people's stomach digest unbearable and slowest. More and more people have health diseases such as diabetes, heart, liver, kidney, colon, etc. Therefore, those who want fast would not impossible for 40 days or longer. That make them fainted and dehyated. So they can only cracker to eat and a lot of water to drink on each meal if they want 40 days or longer fast.

That is my opinion and taught by Bible-based church pastor to explain congregations about "WHAT IS FAST?" every years because too many faithful congregations tried fast---often end up EMERGENCY HOSPITAL for varied reasons.
