A petrochemical engineer will probably work in d upstream sector of energy companies. You also have the tendency to become an energy analyst as long as you remain strong in your mathematical abilities. Lastly, most engineers once graduated should be able to adapt their well groomed/perfected skills and training into most jobs |

PetroChemical Engineers don't work in upstream, that is for Petroleum Engineers. You will work in the downstream sector, in refining and in petrochemicals industry such as the plastic industry and host of other chemicals derived from petroleum. It is more like Chemical Engineering restricted to processes and chemicals from petroleum processing. It is wrong to say Petrochem is some combination of Petroleum and Chemical eng. It is not. 1 Like |

Veravin dear, there is no course a man can do that a woman cant. Infact, you doing a course that is dorminated by guys has a lot of advantages. you get very many ACADEMIC helps that you begin to choose. I'm not a petrochemical engr,so may not know whether it's mostly dorminated by guys but cant you see a female president in a war-torn Liberia? Dont you hear that a woman wants to be the president of the greatest nation on earth? My dear, anything you can imagine can be done, afterall no course in the uni is easy for both male and female. |

Petrochemical is the chemical aspect of Chemical Engineering. It shouldn't be confused with Petroleum Engineering. All careers are good insofar as you get a good job, or start a good business |
