Useless and pathetic government. Where is it heard that terrorist are negotiated with? This is how they negotiated with kidnappers and today it is a thriving business. No common sense anywhere.

I can personally pay 48m to stop the killing of one more Nigerian, not because I am a coward, but because terrorism robs the country of growth and good image.

kool J: If govt pays bombers (suicide And otherwise) millions of taxpayers' money for wasting Nigerian (and foreigners') lives, what will they do for the thousand victims of bh bombings? How much ll they be paid?

This is synonymous to patting crime on the back; who knows just like other polithiefians, they ll give a thanksgiving (whatever its called) for being 'vindicated'. I laugh in allahu akbar!

So if that's the case, I quickly settle for crime and get 'compensated' by the FG and live like its the most honest thing ever. Well so will several other million youth.

Really, just how clueless can this government be? Bribing bombers? Who does that in this day and age

we don't need the federal government to negotiate with them if 48million is what will stop them from their madness, even in nairaland we can raise the 48mil for them if that will bring peace.
Re: FG Considers Boko Haram’s Terms by stpat1(m): 1:00am On Aug 20, 2012
Its a insult for the FG to negotiate with a terrorist group in the first place. its demeaning, condescending and a total show of military weakness on the part of the FG. Maybe Retardeen GEJ should read a copy of Bush's speech after the sept 11 attacks. Thrash

WebSurfer: Nigeria need to learn from a country like US, where they would never negotiate with terrorist, n have their security tighten up instead, God help us, if they succeed on this, They should expect another Worse Group underway.
BIG LIE! America is currently negotiating with the Taliban.

There is always wisdom in a square deal. Much as Nigerians desire peace and quiet from boko rams, JUSTICE must never be sacrificed on the altars of peace. That kind of pseudo peace cannot be enduring. Nigerians will want to clearly see the same or greater measure of compensations given to innocent victims of the boko massacre as that given to deceased boko rams. If the Nigerian government is ready to give two million naira to every boko member killed during their ill-fated onslaught, then government must vigorously advertise that every innocent Nigerian killed by them will be given four million naira each. Any deviation from this simple natural justice will spell doom in the long run. A FOOL IGNORES JUSTICE TO HIS PERIL.

This is a stu.pid & ridiculous act from our government. So crime is now encouraged in this country? What happens to the sacrificed lives in the country? I just wonder where this country is heading, but I'm convinced its definitely not forward.
God bless Nigeria.

Re: FG Considers Boko Haram’s Terms by kobikwelu(m): 7:03am On Aug 20, 2012
The level of ignorance displayed in this thread about the "white man" is quite numbing..

First of all,
In political setting...there are two fronts...one the public and the other "behind the scenes"

there are numerous times, when what you see on TV is just a front..while the real negiotiations are done behind the scenes..

for the fact that the US publicly says they do not negotiate with terrorists..does not mean they don't...YOU GUYS JUST DONT KNOW...

also,
In the Nigerian case..i doubt this so-called groups are for-real...else, they are buying time....
Terrorists dont commit their acts for monetary/material gain..its to inflict psycological damage...so why would these groups that came out with such stringent(stupid) conditions for ceasefire..all of a sudden decide to come out and request for approx 300,000USD??
its either na 419, the government is trying to save face, or the terrorist are getting their A$$es kicked and they are using delay tactics to regroup...

MY verdict!!!

WIPE THOSE VERMINS off THE FACE OF THE EARTH!!! No tree should be left standing in that area..Let their generations unborn learn of the mistakes of their fathers...

IF a group does not value other people's life and religion and is willing to kill..then he/the-group has lost all rights to be accorded a chance have back his life..ITS like a contract....Hobbes

phew ..**cleaning sweat off my face***

my opinion grin grin grin grin

Apparently, this boys didn't go out simply cos they needed 48mil. It is doubtful that the payment of dis sum IRO of their fallen "innocent" members will ingratiate their agitation. It is also delusional for the FG to tink that BH will concede to the trial of "guilty members". Someone isn't saying the truth. Dis boys are not dat foolish.
