Well the main programming language I started with, that thought me programming structure and logics is C++. Once you study one programming language, it will be easy to study other programming languages . You can try the Visual C++ book .

Good luck

I believe that a begineer in programming at this age should be thinking of web programming languages which will give him/her an egde over other programmers.

To the best of my knowlegde, i will recommend PHP PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE.

Take a look at a free tutorial on PHP at http://knowphp.webs.io

please share and teach others.
Be a good Nigerian!

Python is definitely the easiest programming language that's popular.

I see your point, but I learnt BASIC very early and that didn't stop me from learning C and C++ later.

If you start with Python and you need something Python doesn't offer, you can just get Visual Studio (C#).

@andycool:
i will advice u to build a programmer's mind first.
The language does not really matter. It is just a matter of syntax and how to do it here that changes in every language. I started with pascal but i can confidently write more than 8 programming languages now. as a matter of fact, i av live projects in almost six of the languages.
Secondly, be ready to endure and spend ur time wisely with ur computer. Reduce unnecessary leisures periods u spend on football, films, facebook, messenger ,, just to mention a few.
See u at the top.
