Often times, I look back at churches where members in the name of receiving financial blessings from 'God' cast monies at pastors' feet. This is purely contrary to any sound doctrine in the bible.

A classical example in the bible can be found in Acts 4:35 and this was rightly applied to meet the needs of the church(people).

"and laid them at the apostles feet: and distribution was made unto each, according as any one had need."

If there is anything that has not helped the modern-day church,its the pursuit of money and NOT the message.

More so, men have overtime tend to quote scriptures to suit their selfish pursuits.

May God grants us the wisdom to be guided aright in the midst of these self-acclaimed servants of the Most High!

Another of its kind is when a preacher is preaching in the church and he stimulates the congregation with emotional prophesies, these false preachers tell their members to come out sealing/claiming the prophesy with offerings. I know a lot of churches that does that here in the USA and also in Nigeria, not to mention names. We do not have such practice in the NT Church and Kingdom of God.
