i know its not only flu/common cold that causes catarrh.here are some other possible causes :
it might be as a result of your body reacting to spicy foods,smoke,dust or even damp enviroment.
it might be that your body is allergic to a particular thing in your enviroment.eg pets,perfume,food,plant .
then in most cases,its a symptom various other illnesses.ef hay fever,cold.etc

have you seen a doctor to know the cause or you just buy flu tablets ?

some of the home remedies i know are:
eucalptus oil and tea.
inhaling of hot steam.
continous intake of vitamins esp vit C and A.
drink lots of water.
stay in a dirt/dust/smoke free enviroment.

still see a doc.knowing the very cause of the catarrh wud make the treatment easier.

It's Sinusitis! Look it up on google!

Dont worry Dude, it's a matter of time, it will go in its due time. Just dont let it disturb you in your activities. Make sure that you dont attract yourself to dust or cold, if posible be drinking hot things,water, tea and so on for a while, then make sure that you dont use the same tissue or handkerchief. Do these and have good health.

@ POSTER, i don'tt think it's a cause 4 alarm.

Your immune system mite be really low in vitamin C so your body can no longer fight ne infections like cold/flu/catarrh

All wot u can do is,

1, take lots of fruits
2, if u always expose your body 2 cold, den start by doin sum coverin up especially, chest n feet
3, also, weneva u ave catarrh, take 1 pill of ACTIFED a day {take it when u aven't got nefin important to do, because u mite feel dizzy}
4, take d ACTIFED for 5 days, after d completion of it, finish d medication up wit 2 tablets of SEPTRIN/twice a day for 5 days as well
5, AND FINALLY BACK IT UP WIT VITAMIN C TABLETS

dear, i can bet it wit u, u will feel d difference.

It's wot i tried, when i discovered that i was avin flu/cold 3 times a month durin d winter period, i knew sumfin is wrong wit my immune system, n i seeked advice, followed d same procedure listed above, n rite now, i've never had a single flu since den.

u forgot to put in the most important drug there; rest. u have to sleep a lot more than you do now
it might be caused by a change of running of the body clock, if u just moved to a new enviroment then that may also be one of the causes.
