Lincoln had a catalog of failures but he did not remain defeated.As job sat on the rubble of what used to be his house surrounded by mediocre and miserable counselors,he had the option of either compromising or confessing power of his God.During the Korean war an American platoon was defeated,and when a journalist got to interview one of the soldiers on what they would do after such defeat,the soldier said give me tomorrow.There is nothing to fear,like fear itself.
