I understand how you feel, but really actively ttc since March is not enough to panick.

Relax your mind. At least when you have tried for up to 6 months, you may begin by doing the basic tests of fertility.

All the best.

Hi,

In order to allay your fears (or otherwise), I advise you run a PT and a pelvic scan.

All the best.

Hi,

In what unit is the number you wrote in? Is it in ng?

Most likely you have hyperprolactinaemia, or abnormally high level of the hormone prolactin. This is the commonest cause of breasst discharge in women who are neither pregnant nor breatsfeeding.

It is also a common cause of irregular menstrual cycle and lack of ovulation.

But it is treatable.

All the best.
yes in nig

Gd evening
Pls I need ur help on this, I'm really ttc since 2013. Hubby n I have done all test and came out ok. My period has been really regular with 28/29 CD. But this month I didn't c my period until CD 38 which was yesterday. I tot I was pregnant cos I had serious cramping from when I was supposed to see my AF(CD 28) with full and sore breast. Though, I tested with home pregnancy strip but came out negative.
Kindly enlightened me why my AF was delayed for that long when I v never experienced such before and what to do as I'm kinda confused and devastated till this moment.
Thank you

It may just happen that there is no proper explanative cause to your not having your flow when it was really expected.

It may just be a matter of normal reproductive function of the body provided all things remain equal.

Perhaps, you were wrong on counting.May be not.

Keep track of your CD and ensure to see if your mild irregularity can pound again. But if on having seen your flow and you observe still these symptoms, please do visit the clinic for a better check up--pregnancy test, primarily.

How is his sperm motility like?

Focus on him before you. Once his condition improves you may commence any ovulation induction.

Doing this without him being fairly ok is like putting the cat before the horse.

What is the SFA like?
Re: Doctor In The House:Obstetrics And Gynecology by Nobody: 10:56am On May 23, 2015
Good morning doc, his sperm count as at the last time we checked was just 3m, I don't know about motility and all that. He took fertile aid at one time but stopped as there no improvement, he is now taking addyzoa. I was thinking if I took clomid I cld produce more eggs and the chances of his sperm meeting one of the eggs wld be higher.. I really don't know what to do. I will appreciate any form of advice.

hi dr. in d house, i posted my thyroid hormonal assay sometimes ago and consulting with my dr, he placed me on 50mg of levothyroxin. running another test i had d result below; (subclinical hyperthyroid)
free T4: 17.1 (7.2-16.4)pmol/l
free T3: 5.2 (3.8-6.0) pmol/l
TSH: 0.09 (0.37-3.5)mIU/l.

PREVIOUS result (subclinical hypothyroid)
free T4: 8.2 (7.2-16.4)pmol/l
free T3: 4.5 (3.8-6.0) pmol/l
TSH: 9.58 (0.37-3.5)mIU/l

Dr. told me to discontinue d drug and test again in d next 4weeks.
my bone of contention is dat i am seriously TTC (delaying my ivf whic should be last month), and i dnt want it postpone anymore.
should i stop d drug or reduce d dose? pls suggest

Much as i can see there is nothing to worry about regarding your thyroid and thyroid stimulating hormones.

You are free to discontinue but be on a goodhealth.

A good improvement though the TSH was stocked low.Nevertheless,it offsets as an increase in your free thyroid hormones which claim to the fact that much of it is not needed as before for its responds.

In the same say with Omicron, knowing your man's sperm motility is very important.Inshort knowledge of his semen analysis should not be underestimated.

Taking an ovulation inducing pill does not increase the chance of sperm cell meeting an egg but it only causes a better chance to observe an ovulary menstrual cycle phase. It is often sometimes a matter of choice on occassion like this.If being on the use of Clomid can help the situation while your man doing his the other way, then no problem.Just ensure to use the drug as written on the leaflet.

Three million is terribly low!

Now he has to do more investigations to try to find possible explanations for such count.

Also consider IVF especially if the wife's age is above 35.

Many things, from folliculitis following shaving to an STI, such as chancroid and syphilis.

HE needs a dose of antibiotics.

If the boil is any big, he will need an I & D too. This implies cutting through the boil and draining away the pus. It is a hospital procedure.

It's best for him to see a doctor to avoid complications.

All the best

Follow your doctors advice.

Obviously, the levothyroxin has tipped you from subclinucal hypo to subclinical hyoerthyroidism.

Stop the drugs and review later.

Rushing into IVF is not your goal; your goal should be to have the best possible shot at it. And to do that, you need to be patient with these work ups.

I perfectly know that time is of the essense, but the ultimate goal is to have the most successful IVF you can get.

All the best.
