Hello my people,
Has anyone from the Ibadan FBN interview last month done medicals?I expected dy should have @ least called for medicals by now. It's a month now and it would be nice to know we are still on course.
Re: First Bank Strategic Recruitment by dotmana1: 10:06am On Nov 09, 2012
Afta one is successful @ d interview,d next stage now is Documentation b4 medicals.
Re: First Bank Strategic Recruitment by Alamutatalo: 12:05pm On Nov 09, 2012
@dotman,
Pls how long did it take after the interview before you wr contacted for documentation/medicals?
Re: First Bank Strategic Recruitment by teddy2011: 1:21pm On Nov 09, 2012
This is serious... Documentation before medicals. Mhmmn! Documentations can take like almost 6mths. They contract this process to different recruitment firms. Most time, delays may be from the school or r/agencies.

Companies are now taking their time so as to avoid issues such as false age, fake results/details etc This verification process speeds up confirmation after 6mths, reduces adminstration costs or termination of appointment b4 the probation period is over. Also you have no reasons to go for medicals if you are not sucessful at every stage of verification.

These people are steping up big time! No be moi-moi!
Our God will not forsake us except if it is not His will.
Re: First Bank Strategic Recruitment by Alamutatalo: 3:00pm On Nov 09, 2012
@teddy,don't think documentation for experienced hire entails certificate confirmation, etc.Référence from your former employer covers all that. You cannot be confirmed in your former bank if everything is not in order.Don't want to believe it will take up to 6mths to complete documentation. Those in Lagos where called for medicals less than a month after the interview and I just learnt some have resumed.Have'nt been able to get any info on IB hopefuls sha.

Re: First Bank Strategic Recruitment by dotmana1: 3:48pm On Nov 09, 2012
Few lagos guys whom were basically of lower grades BA and SBA just resumed this week and was told the higher grades that have done documentation will be called next.We should just be patient 'cos FbN is rolling new branches aggressively come 2013.So branch guys, space plenty oooo
Re: First Bank Strategic Recruitment by adonai36: 11:22pm On Nov 09, 2012
@all, I think dot.man is correct, because I also heard from an insider that the recruitment is massive, both retail and operations staffs, and it will be done as soon as the MD gives his approval. Though, the waiting game is not easy, but let's keep our fingers cross and be steadfad in prayers.

@Georgee, any development as per FBN and Micheal stevens?

Shalom
Re: First Bank Strategic Recruitment by georgee(m): 8:44am On Nov 10, 2012

Re: First Bank Strategic Recruitment by Alamutatalo: 9:43am On Nov 10, 2012
This is comforting news,I think 2013 will be a good year for bankers with all this news of expansion.I read somwr that diamond bank will also open 70 branches next year,Heritage bank(SGBN) bought over by IEI has also acquired closed branches of some banks,so lets keep ourselves informed and pray.

Re: First Bank Strategic Recruitment by Adesiji77: 4:12pm On Nov 10, 2012
Hello potential First Bankers, i am so happy to be back on Nairaland, after several months of watching from the sidelines as a 'guest' cos i was locked out for no reason and my mails to Seun were not responded to...back to the topic, I was invited for the 20th October 2012 interview at FBN Learning Centre in Ibadan but i am yet to hear from the HR guys. I guess we just have to wait...read though that FBN will expand massively in 2013, so there is hope!
I must mention though that gate-crashers who had the requisite documents on that day were allowed to stay back....i was shocked!I wished i had encouraged some friends to give it a shot but i never believed that an institution like FBN would allow gatecrashers...didnt know what happened eventually cos i left the venue early.

Who else attended the Ibadan interview of 20-10-2012? Any info? Please reply

Re: First Bank Strategic Recruitment by Alamutatalo: 12:45pm On Nov 11, 2012
@dr wise,I don't have any link for now,but I know dy will make it public once dy start.
Also heard wema is going back national next year,so dy'll be re opening a lot of branches outside the SW once CBN approves dr application for a national license.
Good times are here!God is with us
Re: First Bank Strategic Recruitment by iyaegin: 4:10pm On Nov 11, 2012
i know Heritage had a set of interviews about a month ago for HR and very senior positions at IEI's office in V.I
It seems after that is when they would start recruiting full time although they are meant to be a regional bank from what i heard.let's wait n see.am not sure sterling has started calling asper michael stevens cos they said their own interviews are still ongoing.
As for first bank it seems you have to keep a closed mind to it as their recruitment seems to take at least 3-4months.
It is well.
