NPL side Sharks have put 25 million Naira on the table for ex-Enyimba coach Austin Eguavoen to take over as new coach for the new season.

MTNFootball.com has scooped that Eguavoen has already begun discussions to take over the Port Harcourt club with top Rivers State government officials and was even at the team’s last game of the season at Enugu Rangers.

It is understood that Eguavoen will take over from John Obuh, who Rivers officials said is pre-occupied with the Nigeria U20s.

Sharks finished seventh this past season with 52 points from 36 matches.

Eguavoen, on the hand, quit Enyimba before the season’s end. The former international defender has handled both the Super Eagles and the country’s Olympic team.
