Morenike Popoola was kidnapped around 9:30 -10 last night in Amuwo-Odofin on her way home. Her car, a wine-coloured Toyota Corolla Sports car was also taken, but was recovered very early this morning around Kirikiri. Morenike's abductors contacted her family this morning but made no specific demands, just said they will call back. The police are now involved! Now where is Fashola's bravado when you need him. I thought he has been priding himself as having defeated high calibre crimes like this in Lagos with the so-called CCTV on the streets? The man had better done something fast and stop intimidating innocent Lagosians with his draconian laws and declarations. Festac Town is in Amuwo Odofin.these kidnappers don invade lagos at last! Seems Amuwo Odofin is now a beehive of criminal activities.hope she will be freed soon. |

The advantages of Kidnapping to a Criminal far outweighs that of Armed Robbery.. This is the new crime of choice for Nigerian Criminals My advice to you is to watch your back carefully!! When you drive at night, always watch your back and know the fastest route to the nearest police Station at the back of your mind.. the whole of lagos is under siege there is a robbery almost every other night in festac for real no one is safe Okija_juju: The advantages of Kidnapping to a Criminal far outweighs that of Armed Robbery.. This is the new crime of choice for Nigerian Criminals they are all in festac (robbers and kidnappers) and the police are good for nothing. the word is that the festac area commander demanded a bribe of 300k from the pharmacist in cynthia's case. every time there is a distress they come an hour or more later and they are demanding fuel money for patrol their only hallmark achievement is erecting a toll gate right beside the station in festac - so dont expect anything from the police |

oyb: the whole of lagos is under siege I live in Port-Harcourt.. .. The birth place of Nigerian Kidnapping! The Police are useless. However, except for planned kidnapping where they lay ambush at your home and pick you up on arrival, I know alot of people who have escaped kidnap attempts.. A woman I know was double-crossed around 8:30pm in close to her house.. She immediately put the car in reverse and then ran her vehicle into theirs (paralysing both cars) and she feined death behind her wheels.. The guys simply came out of their cars and took totheir heels.. One other guy simply drove at top speed into Bori Camp (Military base).. The point is the kidnappers really dont want a scene, so if you create one, most times they simply leave you alone. Vigilance is the key..  1 Like |
