Na ignorance, ikot ekpene is yet to have a normal functional daily market, there market are just those normal weekly traditional market unlike orlu (ebe afia na azú) that host IMO state international market
Ikot ekpene is very much rural, like nah better village, a greater number of there indigenes always relocate to bigger cities closer to them (i.e uyo, ABA and umuahia)

They town itself is quite old, and a lovely place
Assuming it was the capital of akwa ibom it would have been a better city than uyo by far

I went to Orlu last Christmas and nearly wept for Imo state. The internal roads of Orlu are so finished. The city itself is nearly as large as Owerri but no road to move in between. You ask: what is going on in Imo?

Rochas is from Ogboko in Ideato South.. Uzodinma is from Omuma in Oru East. None of them identifies with the city in Orlu local government area.
Both govs abandoned the infrastructures in Orlu to decay; Uzodinma even closed down the teaching hospital, high court, fire service station, etc in Orlu.

Ohakim is from Mbano, not from Okigwe. He never did a thing in main city of Okigwe.
