Muslim cleric Abu Islam Burns the Holy Bible in front of thousands of Muslims at protest outside the US Embassy in Cairo, Egypt, on Tuesday. His action was met with applause and anti-Christian cheers from the demonstrators. The cleric, before leaving the demonstration and getting into his car, told the crowds “next time I will urinate on it.”


Abu Islam holds another Bible and says: This is the book the dog Terry believes in, as well as those dogs with him the Egyptian Christians in America. Abu Islam: Today I can only TEAR IT APART. He starts tearing the bible and throwing the leaves towards the mob, amid chants of Allahu Akbar and “Khaybar, Khaybar, O Jews, the army of Mohammad is coming.”

It’s hard to say whether Abu Islam is under the impression that American Christians are Jews or that Muslims are so deprived of chants that they stick with the one they know. Since Muslim culture is deprived and Muslims have been known to call Americans, “Jews” both are possible.


I like the peace. It makes him seem so peaceful and reminds us all that Islam truly is a religion of peace. Also death.
We breathlessly await President Morsi phoning Obama to apologize for this act of disrespect toward his religion while promising to prosecute Abu Islam. We also breathlessly await the flying pigs that will bear Morsi on an apology tour of the Christian world to say how sorry he is and ask the Christians to stop attacking Egyptian embassies.

They can burn our bible but no one is allowed to burn their Koran. The double standard is so rampant in all of this mess.

And yet, no Egyptian Embasies attacked, no ambassodors killed, No Egyptians killed, proving once gain that it is Radical Islam who are religiously intolerent. It is their way or death.

To what end? I thought the words of the Bible should be engraved in one's heart? By burning this book, is it meant to incite people to riot or something? I don't think it will work.

Christians are too smart for dumb ass muslims.

If the guy has 'balls' - let him burn the 'Torah' (Jewish Book). . . .

I'd be surprised if he didn't get a bullet in the head from 'Mossad' within 24hrs.

If it was done in retaliation to that silly film - it was a 'Jew' that made the film - So go fcu.k with Israel.

If he likes let him burn a trailer load of bibles! That doesn't make the word of God be spread throught the earth. The lord shall fight the battle for us in jesus name.

Misguided

They can burn all the Bibles they want. That will not take our faith from us. We have the love of God in our hearts. The Bible to many is considered Holy, but in reality it is a book. What is written inside is what is in our hearts, and they can not take that, If they kill us we will still be with our Lord and Savior. No burning or killing can take that from us. We have a real loving God that is eternal, and One that they will bow down before on the judgment day before being judged for eternity.

Thats ignorance on his part. Islam recognizes the Bible as a holy scripture......he is defying the Quran by destroying a Bible. Stark ignorance, has nothing to do with scholarship.

The Egyptian judiciary has decided to prosecute a well-known television station owner on charges of tearing up and burning a copy of the Bible.


On Tuesday, Ahmed Mohammed Abdullah, who tore up and burned an English copy of the Bible during a demonstration outside the US Embassy in Cairo, was referred to trial, along with his son and a journalist who interviewed him.

Abdullah was filmed standing before a crowd and ripping up the Christian holy book. In another video, he made insulting remarks about Christianity.



Abdullah, whose trial will begin on September 30, says he is not guilty of contempt for religion as he targeted the book of a specific group of Christians.

In Egypt, offending Islam, Christianity, or Judaism is punishable by up to five years in prison.
