Guys, a little correction. Clause Bar (CokoBar)is a general bar/club that Nigerians in the UK go to every saturday. The crowd is not for her as many people have birthdays there on saturdays & that is the number of people who turn up most weekends, that's just the people going in to attend. I was there as it was my friend's bday as well butI heard charly boy was around somewhere but that was it. 3 Likes |

Honestly its good to celebrate birthdays, but this is negative show off on an economic point of things and bad for the Nigerian economy. Why throw a bash in London, is there anything wrong with Lagos or Abuja venues. This is the same capital flight we are accusing MTN, Multi-choice, Shell, Cadbury e.t.c. Now our own people are indulging in it. I believe Linda Ikeji makes her income in this country and has decided to take it outside the country and throw it away in the UK. If she claims it is her money and she has the right to do whether she wants to, I would tell her that she is certainly right. However, she is offering her services to the Nigerian people and she makes her income off the Nigerian people so she should contribute to the economy by ensuring there is circulation of wealth in order for her customers to patronise her more. This is the same thing with our Nigerian musicians, we pay them for their products or services. They take our money and go outside to shoot a video in South Africa, US or UK, then bring back this product, after paying those guys over there (Capital or Investment Flight) and sell it to us (And the Cycle is repeated again). I have told myself that I would not patronise them anymore because this is pure economic waste. We need to be growing our economy, foreigners should be coming to shoot their videos and throw the parties in our country. This is some sort of Inferiority complex. If Linda likes UK music, she can actually bring the DJ to Lagos, and let him do his thing, pay his taxes for making money in this country and tell his friends he had a good time. Congrats to you Linda, but you need to stop this. Else you don't have any right accusing politicians who take our money outside the country because you are actually doing the same. Well, they are saving the funds and you are blowing yours away. Wise up. 10 Likes |

Nothing wrong with having your birthday in london, you never know the club may have sponsored it, meanwhile when the bouncers and security guards are not trying to get frisky with you or sticking their hands in your knickers a good time is maybe possible. I however no longer think its worth the risk, there are other clubs in london. #thatisall |

Chill out dude, what does this woman's birthday have to do with telco & oil & gas companies?? It is only a birthday and i am sure she did not spent a penny that night. The club promoters would have catered for everything because they will assume more people will show up that night because of her. For all you know she was there on holiday and decided to have her birthday in London. 1 Like |

Sorry to burst bubbles, but that's a birthday on the low; public club thus each person pays for entry and drinks. That's obviously a last minute rushed up cake from Costco (£10 last time I checked). So just a bunch of people having a reason to celebrate, dress up and have some fun! No economically twist!! 1 Like |

tboy1: Well I just assume you are right because we Nigerians e get as we dey do. We like Jones too much and forget the realities of life. Why I am pointing out this fact is because I am seeing a trend before you know it, its going to be a culture and you know sey we sabi copy. Our musicians should take note too. These our attitude of show-off needs to be curtailed and I really don't know who we are impressing - our friends, who would abandon us when the road gets tough? 1 Like |

The lady did her birthday in nigeria and cokobar threw another 1 for her ilondon on saturday to promote their club, it was all paid by them and she didn't even spend a dime on the whole issue, get your facts straight HATER. NB: don't hate on successful people , cos you may never bne like them in life, you only remain a critic all your life.
