tantan: but which is more important: Family or career? Family You'd have to be insane to put a career before your family. The kids would never forgive one when they're older |

^^ Those same kids won't forgive the parents if they're forced to live a poor quality of life. A life of poverty that could easily have been avoided if the earning power of the household was increased. Even illiterate women understand that as a parent, you are responsible for the upkeep and well being of your child. Being a full-time stay at home mum is a luxury not many can afford. Women working as labourers, farmers, selling food items in the market, etc do it - not because they love leaving their kids. They do it because they care enough to want to ensure they have the basic necessities of life at the very least - Food, clothing and shelter. @Poster, both are important. There is something called the work-life-balance. Lots of parents work part-time too. |
