Following in the wake of floods in Lagos, Kogi, Anambra, Maiduguri there are now major floods in Benue state pics below. Lives and property have been destroyed on a massive scale with thousands of people displaced. God only knows what the clean up cost will be as many major roads have been permanently destroyed and will need reconstruction, homes and other infrastructure as well will need to be rebuilt, to the tune of Billions of naira.

Many of the properties took the owners many years to complete and many more years to raise the funds for completion and are uninsured. Lives are being changed forever in the wake of this disaster facing Nigeria. The gigantic economic costs are hard to imagine!!!

From these pictures, it seem the water level has actually receded. My heart is with the displaced persons. May God grant them the necessary replacement to restart their lives. Meanwhile, we should be prepared to hear more news on building collapse because of these floods.
