Heavy fighting may be ongoing between the JTF and Boko Haram. Reports from Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, indicate that multiple explosions and gunshots are occurring around Lagos street and Gwange area of the Maiduguri metropolis. A resident of the area informed PREMIUM TIMES that an Improvised Explosive Device, IED, may have been planted in the area targeting a Joint Task Force, JTF, patrol team and probably exploded.
