It comes as a relief when the good hardheartedness of some clerics, with regards to how they mouth and act to create peace on the Nigeria land, has become recognized world-wide, to the extent that they are [url]nominated for the prestigious NOBEL PEACE PRIZE this year[/http://beeafrican.com/pt/Two-Nigerian-clerics-nominated-for-2012-Nobel-Peace-Prize/blog.htm], among the 231 nominees. This must certainly send some alarms to the likes of the much touted and controversial CAN president Ayo Oritsejafor and his apologists when he was not deemed as suitable for such a recognition. I for one, would have loved to see people like the Reverend Hassan Kukah as nominees, so that the people like Oritsejafor can learn lessons in how to go about religious issues in Nigeria.
Not that I see Oritsejafor's sometimes unprofessional mouthing of his politically motivated statements as any threats, but people occupying sensitive religious positions in Nigeria need to be reminded from time to time that their tongues are themselves weapons, which if not used rightly, could make the difference between peaceful coexistence and harmony in the polity of religious polarity, or outright call for WAR! His statements often suggest the later.
If Christians in Nigeria heed Oritsejafor's unguarded utterances, soon they will be called to arms against their Muslim counterparts. Now that the world has also proved to Oritsejafor that the leadership in the search for peace as demonstrated by Roman Catholic Archbishop of Abuja, John Onaikan and his Muslim counterpart, The Sultan of Sokoto Alhaji Muhammad Sa'ad Abubakar 111 to befit their nomination for a NOBEL prize, may be Oritsejafor will go back into his cocoon and sulk about the need to exercise restraint when he makes public religious statements.

Recently, Oritsejafor was called upon not to divide Nigeria, a proof to the logic why such a person can never be Nominated for NOBEL PEACE PRIZE!

Only a foolish shepherd will sit back, keep quiet and watch while his sheeps are being butchered by a ravaging beast every day and pastor Oritsejafor is not a foolish shepherd. HE IS MY NOBEL PEACE PRIZE WINNER, ANYDAY!
