for the husbands, if your wife is the type that reveals everything to her parent/siblings about your family, will you disclose how much you earn to her? and for the wives, if your husband is the type that want to control your earning and makes demands unnecessarily, will you disclose your salary to him?

mondi_cheeks: Do you mean finances should actually be discussed before marriage? what if the person eventually does not make it with you to the alter, then she or he would have known your financial secret. Now after marriage, if your spouse say the woman tells her family every matter of your home thereby displaying absolute immaturity, is it wise to disclose your finances to her? bearing in mind that you will not want her family to know your financial status.

I didn't say give each other your pin numbers to ur atm cards. U have to know each others financial position so u can know where to live as a couple(low or high density area),whether you can afford to buy a house or rent, how much u can both pay for rent or as mortagage instalments, when to take holidays and where you can afford taking holidays. If you wallets don't match up with the way you want to live u will have serious problems in the relationship. U need to know. The number of kids you will be able to take care of financially. A matured person wld know its best to keep a husband or wives info to him/herself.
