Point of correction, entry level differs from one agency to anoda. Opeyemi mit be right, but at the same time wrong. In the agency where I work in Abuja, both fresh graduates of HND and Bsc are on Conraiss 7 step 2, they only placed graduates that spent 5years in school on 7 step 3. See the case of three people below as example. I am an HND graduate(statistics), I was placed on level 7 step 2 same as a university physics graduate. But the third person was placed on level 7 step 3 being an agric engr graduate from university. Even if u study engineering course from polytechnics, u will still be given level 7 step 2. But upon confirmation, Bsc engineers and scientists will be promoted automatically to level 8 while the rest be it HND engineers and scientists , and all other non science degrees (Bsc and HND) will only increase in step. This mit be so cos my agency is under ministry of science and technology.

The point am making here is dat entry level mit differs from agency to agency. I even heard NARSDA pay like 250k as entry level cos they introduced their own salary structure when joining IPPIS.

Bros i have no ttime for arguments. i have HND and i wwas emplpyed on level 08 in the federal civil service. other HND holders were also employed on level08 since 2006.period.

Yes oooh, even till last month self, cos a colleague is yet receive his Nov and December salary till now due to do mistake on the part of the IPPIS office.

Please I will love to know where you work. In all the agencies I had been opportuned to work including NPHCDA where I did my IT, NACA where I did my NYSC and NABDA where I presently work, HND has never been placed on level 7. To further shock you, a guy I started work with at NABDA had an MSc qualification from a reputable university, yet he was placed on level 7 step 8 instead of level 8 step 2. Mind you, if this guy was in the ministry, he would have been given level 9.
My candid advise for you is that if you reside in Abuja, take time out to visit the FEDERAL CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION at Zone 3. Go on a wednesday so you'll be granted access. Or go to the New Federal Secretariat at Central Area, you'll definitely see civil servants around the premises that you can confide in for better information. I cannot tell you what happens in the para-military but in other normal agencies, this is the fact. Please don't mislead the job seekers here!

okesuku: To clear all your doubts. I am an officer with NSCDC on level 8 step 1 and my take home is 121k ,thats for those entryin as uni graduates. HND is placed on level 7. doctors on 12 and lawyers on 9. if u have a masters degree u also r put on 9. hope this clears the air.

I can authoritatively tell u guys that NIS is yet to start its recruitment exercise....FEDeral service commission is recruiting but its more of an in house thing.....NIS will start recruiting very soon tho....now abt d pay....well,I don't really knw but be sure of above 100k as an entry_no here is my question to d the young workers there...how is d promotion done?how often?yearly?how much was your initial pay and how much did it get to after say 5years...I think that's wat really matters...pls answers

I went to the fcsc at my state yesterday and nothing like documentation don't let anyone lie to you.... I haad to travel all d way and nothing...
