I am sorry, not sure of how to put the topic. But, i think if we go by the old testament laws:

You shall have no other Gods but me.
You shall not make for yourself any idol, nor bow down to it or worship it.
You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God.
You shall remember and keep the Sabbath day holy.
Respect your father and mother.
You must not kill.
You must not commit adultery.
You must not steal.
You must not give false evidence against your neighbour.
You must not be envious of your neighbour's goods.

I did not see any law on: thou shall not watch xxxx? Maybe them forget to add am?

That's because those laws were meant for desert dwelling ancient people that believed a bad tempered bearded man in the sky dictates what is good or not.

Doesn't apply to us today, I bet we can come up with better commandments than those. For example

"1.Do not do to others what you would not want them to do to you.
2.In all things, strive to cause no harm.
3.Treat your fellow human beings, your fellow living things, and the world in general with love, honesty, faithfulness and respect.
4.Do not overlook evil or shrink from administering justice, but always be ready to forgive wrongdoing freely admitted and honestly regretted.
5.Live life with a sense of joy and wonder.
6.Always seek to be learning something new.
7.Test all things; always check your ideas against the facts, and be ready to discard even a cherished belief if it does not conform to them.
8.Never seek to censor or cut yourself off from dissent; always respect the right of others to disagree with you.
9.Form independent opinions on the basis of your own reason and experience; do not allow yourself to be led blindly by others.
10.Question everything. " .... Richard Dawkins (2006)

I'm sure you'll agree that this allows you to decide for yourself whether p0rn is good or not.

No one, and certainly not making a law for anyone! I'm not Moses! fck no!! grin grin

I merely put up an example of what someone today can come up with rather than the flimsy work Moses and his cohorts did 2900 years ago (or more).

Mba, you shall not give false evidence against your neighbour - not against yourself.

SCENE 1:
MAMA-AKPAN (SHOUTS): AKPAN! AKPAN!! COME HIA NOW NOW!!
AKPAN (RUNS OUT OF HIS ROOM TO PARLOUR): YES MAMA
MAMA-AKPAN (Squeezes here face in anger): NA WHO CHOP ALL THE TURKEY WEY DEY INSIDE STEW?
AKPAN (Sweating): MAMA, NO BE MI (He did not testify against his neighbour - not a sin)
MAMA-AKPAN (not convinced, grabs akpan by the ears): IF E NO BE YOU, NA WHO TAKE AM?
AKPAN (Now drenched in sweat): MAMA, NO OBI CHOP ALL THE TURKEY FINISH (Now, that is a sin - he don lie on top OBI'S HEAD)

DISCLAIMER: THIS IS ENTIRELY FICTIOUS, AND THE NAMES DOES NOT REFER TO ANYBODY (LIVING OR DEAD)

Why do you keep looking deeply then? Those aren't commandments per se. No one's forcing you to obey them. They're someone else's revision to the original supposedly inspired by God(in my own opinion, moses was getting some good ganja in those days)...

No one's going to kill you if you do not obey them..
Like the 10th says, question everything

*Laughts* this thread is an eye-opener. Sometimes, it is good to teach by examples, even if the examples are not conventional. Afteral, i am not a conventional person myself.

@pastormustwac,
To enable us to determine whether it is sin or not, kindly define or explain WHAT SIN IS. That is what is SIN before GOD?

What is evil before God? What is Sin before God? What is Iniquity before God?

*Clears my throat* ahem, well, i am not God! You are asking the wrong guy!!

It seems you are a small boy. I am asking you BECAUSE YOU SAID THAT IT IS NOT A SIN SO WE NEED TO KNOW WHAT A SIN IS?

Maybe the OP will also say pre-marital sex isn't a sin. Since he has the balls to say watching p0rn is OK.
Re: Watching Po*rn*graphy Is Not A Sin! by pastormustwacc: 2:23am On Oct 30, 2012
Now, you folks are indeed funny. I created this thread just to prove a point that modern day christians are not tied to old-testament laws.

And i dont watch Bleep and engage in extra-marital or premarital sex. But that is beside the point.

As for defining what sin is - well, out of scope of this thread.

But i will leave this scripture:

Matthew 5:28
But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

This is to show that modern-day christians are not tied to the mosaic laws, and in fact should not live by those laws. We are different from the old-skul moses generation.

Summary: Keeping the ten-commandments is not enough for a modern-day believer. This is the point i am trying to prove. Based on this - I DONT BELIEVE A MODERN-DAY BELIEVER SHOULD WATCH Bleep OR EVEN SELF-SERVICE.

Hmn, if you look at it that way. But i see it as - proving a point. Because plenty christians are hypocrites these days.
Re: Watching Po*rn*graphy Is Not A Sin! by ogoamaka99(m): 7:37am On Oct 30, 2012
If you are a christian, you should strive to please the LORD. Anything that is not pleasing to GOD is SIN.

I was wondering why pastormustwacc started this thread but I am now clear on seeing his position on the matter! smiley

For those who don't care for a God and think nothing is wrong with pornography, I have a question: How would you feel if the popcorn movie you brought home had the star actor as your Dad, Mum, Sister, Brother, niece, Cousin, Nephew, Uncle or Aunt! What do you think of several hundreds of blokes wa.nk.i/ng off watching your mum or sister acting in a popcorn movie? Or hundreds of couples humping away watching your Dad acting popcorn? And your schoolmates who think nothing wrong of popcorn hailing you in school next day for your family member's great acting/great 'privates'?

For those who believe in God, try answering the question now, bearing the above in mind: Is watching popcorn sin/holy? For those who don't believe in God, bear the above in mind and answer: Is watching popcorn proper/moral? Please, try not to answer with 'as long as none of my family members feature in the movie'.

^^^Thank you very much sistah gurl! These are some things that need to be addressed so that doubts will not be in anybody's mind.
They are satanic vices that are destroying many christians spiritually and weakening their moral, and binding them hands and foot into sin.
