Ive always wondered why some nigerians carry certain distinct European Names, and it is very common. For instance the name Haastrup, although its German i find that many Nigerians carry that name. Henshaw from the calabar area is also very common there. Bassey seems like a European name that many people carry. Then in the Lagos Area names like Macaulay and Crowther. Now mind you i dont mean common English Surnames, but certain distinct ones that are popular ..How come? 1 Like |

The religous ones we understand why. |
