It would appear that Al-Makura is engaged in only cosmetic projects,I don't think I have actually seen any projects that impacts directly on the welfare of the people of Nassarawa state, and the worst part is that Maku is from that state and so is the opposition to the governor so he cannot actually come out and criticize him because people will start shouting that he is witch hunting him because of personal interests, but obviously it is quite clear that in the North Central he came last in terms of performance.

But the federal university is a federal project executed by GEJ in line with his campaign promise. Jonathan is really working.

Electricity distribution substation Karu.

Its a World bank assisted project, the 132kv line can take 200 megawatts of electricity, it was built on greenfield in Karu. The Project commenced in 2007 and was completed in 2011. It feeds Karu and Nasarawa borders and goes as far as Apo, Karishi and Orozo

Real development but the state government needs to do more.

The good thing about some of these projects is that they extend to the residents of FCT.
So while it may be said that they are in Nassarawa, but the reality is that it covers some FCT residents. Take for example, the Karu power station which is expected to beef up supply to Karishi, Apo to Orozo. These towns are proximate in to FCT. And so many civil servants operate daily from here to the city centre

I don't see the Al Makura making it again for second term. He has failed woefully to meet the expectations of the common man who voted him into office. People are complaining bitterly in Lafia. Instead of him to focus on bad roads in the state, he prefers to build a new State Assembly complex and flaunt it as an achievement. He is just playing this politics because of the predominance of PDP members in the House but then he should have balanced it up with people oriented projects.

Nasarawa people are voicing their frustrations through the question and answer session. Al-Makura needs to increase his productivity level and give more to his people, grassroot projects are usually key to development. I wish Nasarawa the best of lucks.

I am following this life, wait o! Is Nasarawa having drug problems amongst her people? No naaah! These youths need to be more gainfully engaged before it becomes a tragedy. The questions are rolling in.

Al Makura should be taken up on this revelation of 66 billion naira in 16 months as federal allocation. I remembered vividly the governor saying he had never received more than 2.2 billion naira / month since the inception of his government. This new stance reveals an average of 4.2 billion naira per month.
Another objection, is the governor's self admission of spending 56 billion naira on current expenditure accounting for 85% of the total allocation. That is not good enough mr governor. No wonder you have no projects to showcase.

Going by this revelation, Gov Al Makura spends close to 90% of his budgetary allocation in recurrent expenditure. Very frivoulous

And then the major capital project he wants to embark on now is to build a cargo airport arguing that that is a project that will impact on the life of his people and I ask how, considering the fact that Nassarawa doesn't as yet have the capacity to produce enough agricultural or mineral goods as to need an airport to be exporting it.
Re: National Good Governance tour town hall meeting in nasarawa(Live) by ANALIST: 2:09pm On Nov 04, 2012
Al-Makura isn't only a looser and fail, but a tested failure in Nasarawa politics. Don't know why people don't learn vicariously.
Re: National Good Governance tour town hall meeting in nasarawa(Live) by banki(m): 10:51am On Nov 05, 2012
oh .... so now almakura is a bad governor? i doubt if some of you know that nassarawa is one of the poorest states in Nigeria, that has been bleeding in debt PDP led governors abdulahhi adamu and akwe doma took huge loans with no visble projects to show for, Maku was abudlahi adamus deputy governor. Now almakura has the budern of paying those debts on a shoe string budget.

Be that as it may more pictures should be shown nassarawa extends to Keffi, Akwanga, Maraba Karu and i know first hand that given circumstances this governor is doing well, one more thing, this good govenance tour is meanliness if the real people are not part of it, how has government impacted on the lives of the citizenry wether state or local government or federal government.

There must be no excuse for none performance at all levels
