A group of officers of Nigerian police have just shot dead one okada man around Ilupeju bypass in Lagos, this afternoon. This is as reported by eyewitnesses who have just called into a live program on Nigeria info. Details of the incident are still sketchy at the moment, but it was gathered the police fled out of the scene immediately on sighting the gathering crowd who tried helping the man, only to come back some 20mins later reinforced and shooting sporadically while everyone scampered for safety! The okada man was rushed to a nearby hospital @ Ilupeju, and was confirmed dead. The name of the policeman who killed the bike man was given as Yemi. The team was said to be from a police station there @ Ilupeju, and the killer cop is known too well by many in that area. |
