please I will like to confirm the state of Glo's PC internet connect.

Mine has refused to open any page despite show a strong network. The interface does show that it is connected with a green light on the modem, but pages don't load or transfer data. It's been 3 days now.

I live in Benin. Please what is the situation at your end?

Yeah it is! I went to their office yesterday and they explained that their engineers are working on it!

@ OP, I feel its a general problem. I was using Glo BIS on my BB until last week when the network became so poor that I had to switch to Airtel. I hope they fix it soon.

a customer who has d same problem for 5 days now just left my office 20 mins ago...i hv tried everything to troubleshoot it,and found out there is nothing wrong with his ipad.I advised him to go to a glo office and find out exactly what d situation is.

Called their customer care, after like an hour a lady picked up and told me that they are working on it and she also collected my phone number and promised that she will call me as soon as it has been rectified, that was yesterday till today, no call from them... MY HAD BEEN SINCE NOV 1ST,I CALLED THEIR CUST CARE ON SUNDAY(NOV 4TH) & WAS ASKED MY LOCATION,NUMBER & PIN,AFTER AWHILE D LADY TOLD ME THEY RE MIGRATING SOME NUMBERS TO NEW PLATFORM IN SELECTED LOCATION AND I SHOULD BE PATIENT.

glo customer care number is 121 .no glo pc internet connection is not down . Cos that was what i used in making this post. Maybe it's your location

Yes, Some Glo numbers have been unable to connect to the internet since Friday despite the fact that you will see full signal strength on your device. I am browsing fine on my PC but cant browse on my iPad and BB. I hope Glo will fix the problems with the affected numbers asap.

I wonder when LTE would be launched in Nigeria, almost all the HSDPA SERVICES from our service providers are dead starting with MTN followed by GLO, even etisalat that was fast is already getting congested. We need LTE (100m/bit per second) right now in Nigeria. MTN would be launching in south Africa, its been launched in .U.S.A, CANADA, JAPAN, U.K and some countries Nigeria should not be left out ohhhhhh.

I think this would solve our ISP problems from our GSM SERVICE PROVIDERS.

121 is free but, you have to wait for close to 30 minutes before you will be answered. Calling 171 is very fast but, you have to pay N20 for the call.
For HSI troubles, call 444 free and for BlackBerry, call 333 free too. Thank you.

I don't think is location based because, Glo actually sent out text messages regarding the internet problem. Below is the one I received from them on Monday, 5th November, 2012.

Dear Customer, we are aware of the difficulty you are experiencing in accessing your Blackberry/High Speed Internet service. It is due to unforeseen technical issues. We apologize for the inconvenience and we assure you, service will be restored soon. Please, bear with us.
