Hello my fellow Nigerians, pls I heard using of a tinted car had been banned in Nigeria. Pls I do have a car going to nigeria from US, I had front glass tinted 35% and back with 20%. I know they don't go by percentage in Nigeria. But since tint has been banned, I would like to know how much would it cost me to get it removed?

Pls drop me as many info you know about it. Even if they had not banned, i would still get it removed because lagos tint permit does not work in Akure unless I get it from Abuja. Pls help meeeeee...Thank U.

Removal is the best. i got a permit for mine but some bad heads in the NPF are so hungry that they'll delay you unnecessarily. So, i was forced to remove it just and it's as easy as Siena said.

Siena: Peel the tint off yourself, it's not difficult.

It's easiest to do on a hot day, as the film is more pliable. You can use a blade to shave the remains off, then use surgical / methylated spirit on a rag to remove any glue residue.
