He said and i quoted..... If you want to join government in plundering nigeria's wealth, better be a grduate or do you know of any plumber that profits from our corrupt govt. No!!!, all of them are graduates from genuine universities or "toronto university". By former counsellor was appointed immediately after school. In his 8-year tenure he made sure he plundered the ward allocation, built three duplexes, made sure his children had either uk or the us citizenship. And what did the community get in return? Regular cartons of beer, local gin (paraga)for all the boyz, dilapidated road etc. To add insult to injury, the guy was begging for third teem. In this country, if we want to enrich yourself with govt money, better get a degree.GOD BLESS NIGERIA

Depending on the field of activity in question. And the so-called vocational trades are not really generally well-remunerated, are they? My tailor (or fashion designer, if you will) makes money, but do tailors generally do so? My mechanic (or automobile technician) is good, and has been in the business for amlost 20 years, and I believe he earns a decent income, but how many of them do you see affording the cars they repair? my barber (or hair grooming specialist) rips me off at 400 bucks a cut, but I don't think that all barbers do that well. My plumber (or piping specialist) is very, very good, but despises plumbing and went to part-time university to get a degree (in agricultural engineering). I think that the vocational trades are not as well remunerated in Naija as they are abroad.
currently on learning plumbing y watin for my admission .d problems dere is dat ur Oga won't pay oo (he is giving m 100 every day) I have got a contract for my self i charge 50k. i quess both of dem is good.

Handi work is better, but some of us prefer going to school rather, cos we are scared of taking the risk, forgetting that most successful people are risk takers...

And that's one major favor for growth in any society the willingness and readiness of the youth to venture into the UNKNOWN with vigor...........

This kind of mindsets is the major reason why NIGERIA is still the way it is..... PLUNDERING FOR SELF AGGRANDIZEMENT..... Altruism pays and helps to make life better for others....

If Nigerians will just get away from SENTIMENTALISM,SELFISHNESS, TRIBALISM and et al and focus on NIGERIA.... We'll be a better and stronger people.
