I wonder how many Nigerian christians carrying bible up and down actually realise this FACT of history.

Many rank and file Christians sincerely believe the Bible is a direct communication from God to man. I know I used to believe it was when I was a Christian. And from recent conversations with many sincere Christians I know this is currently true for many believers. Once it is proven to our God-given reason that the Bible is strictly a man-made collection of mythology the mind loses yet another shackle of "revelation" and is soon on its way to full freedom and progress.

The Bible was not handed to mankind by God, nor was it dictated to human stenographers by God. It has nothing to do with God. In actuality, the Bible was VOTED to be the word of God by a group of men during the 4th century.

According to John Crossan, Professor of Biblical Studies at DePaul University, the Roman Emperor Constantine 'the Great' (274-337 CE), who was the first Roman Emperor to convert to Christianity, needed a single canon to be agreed upon by the Christian leaders to help him unify the remains of the Roman Empire. Until this time the various Christian leaders could not decide which books would be considered "holy" and thus "the word of God" and which ones would be excluded and not considered the word of God.

Emperor Constantine, who was Roman Emperor from 306 CE until his death in 337 CE, used what motivates many to action - MONEY! He offered the various Church leaders MONEY to agree upon a single canon that would be used by all Christians as the word of God. The Church leaders gathered together at the Council of Nicaea and voted the "word of God" into existence, after collecting their MONEY.

the books in the bible are accurate accounts of events but some other books where omitted for certain reasons. books like the gospel of Judas and paul, the gospel of Mary magdalene. some omisions from the books we know today, some omissions about sorcery, women and even the story of the virgin mary was omitted and the fact that Eve was not the first woman and who cain married and how men and women are equal since woman was created sametime as adam from dust and not from his ribs. The truth is if you dig into christainity you will find out alot of things but at the sametime you will understand why constantine ordered for the book to be compiled by the bishop at that time

Was West Africa really that far away from Israel, for the Creator of the entire universe to completely ignore it for 4,000 years, only to remember us when Europeans decided they needed slaves and land to steal and r.ape for resources? All of a sudden we had to 'Love him' and 'worship him', failing which we would 'go to hell'??

In our 1979 years of existence we do not define truth unless errors abound on the matter(Act 5). There was no canon scripture in the early church, in other words there was no bible. The bible is the book of the church, she is not a church of the bible. It was the church; her leadership, faithful people guided by the authority of D spirit of truth(Jn 14: 16-17) which discovered D books inspired by God in their(apostles) writing. The church did not create the canon, she discerned the canon. The council of laodicea in 360AD produced a list of books similar to today's canon, but Pope Damasus in his decree listed the books of today's canon after the council of Rome in 382AD made a case for it. The council of Hippo created the list of both D new and old testament books in 393AD as it is today. The council of carthage(N.Africa) did D same in 397AD & 419AD. But D final infalliable definition of canonical books by D catholic church came from council of Trient in 1556AD, which upheld today's bible as it is. Only 27 from hundreds books written by the apostles. Contrariwise, Constantine who know only of Biblia(books) and not Bible(book) died on 22nd of May, 337AD. So your write up is based on malicious gossips & backed by no-facts or evidence, so no leg to stand on.
