The recently held Abuja international trade fair was an eye opening event at least to some very important dignitaries such as the minister for Agriculture and his Trade and Industry counterpart who at various occasions had the rare experience of seeing ‘woodless’ furniture made of eco-friendly fiber in Nigeria by a Nigerian Entrepreneur Ms Elizabeth Asana CEO of Lizfol Corporate Ventures.

As a result of their visit to the stand of Lizfol designs, the honourable minister of Agriculture commented “we have found an eco-friendly way to make furniture, save our forests and fight deforestation” obviously paying glowing tributes to Lizfol designs for making a strong case for preserving our forests and the environment while enjoying affordable and comfortable furniture.

This singular discovering also caught the eye of the Director General and President of the Abuja Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture who honoured her outstanding enterprise with an award as overall best SME Exhibitor of the year at the Fair.

Shortly thereafter, Lizfol was specially picked to represent Abuccima at the third Pan African Conference Forum held at the Nicon Luxury Hotel to discuss business clusters in local economies and find new ways to boost African economies and promote exports.

Obviously a small brand that started as an idea is gradually taking form as the Federal government finally through its honourable ministers of Environment, Agriculture and Trade & Industry finally acknowledge a local opportunity to boost our economy and protect our environment through Lizfol range of eco-friendly products including duves, cushions, throw pillows and many more.
