Re: Nigerians Are Traumatized by Nobody: 5:32pm On Dec 04, 2012
yes they are traumatized. And this trauma that has griped them is so bad that even though there is real improvement around them and in their lives, they just wont see it or cannot not notice it. It is soo bad that when there is a bad news, they just amplify it and when there is good news, they just dismiss it that it must be a lie! On why they are traumatized. I think it becos, in the 60s africa was being liberated from the claws of colonialism. And for hundreds of years before then , we were percieved by the world in a kind of way. So when we got independence and since we are the largest people in africa with some of the brightest intellectuals plus the huge natural endowment, the people thought ok we can be great and stand for the dignity of the black man the world over.

52 years on, we are still grappling with some problems (not that we have not had progress). They go out of the country, see things that are availiable there and are not here and they become traumatized and deluded.

Nice.

I also believe Nigerians are traumatized although not all of them.

It is very hard to face the destitution and hardship majority of Nigerians face without suffering some damage to your psyche.

Evryone is angry on the streets, why?

but they seem not to be sure why they are that angry...

if u just want to speak to someone politely...the kind of approach u would receive, it ll just feel better u are harsh so their can be ''mutual understanding''

why, why, why?
