There is a float in your thank that is stuck, your mechanic will have to drop the fuel take open it up as if changing fuel pump and clean it if possible..

Should be an electrical fault then. Get a good electrician to trace d fault starting from the indicator on the dashboard thru to the tank. Gdlck
