How do u interprete " E ku amojuba" in English. If husband just arrive from a long jurney how do u greet his wife for her husband safe arriver.

English has different meaning and can be use in different ways,the most important aspect is that the listeners understands the users express.For instance"eku amojuba" can be interprete as "thanks for keep checking",however another interpretation may be applicable but it will have the same meaning.If a husband travelled and has just come back from the journey,people can greet his wife by saying."thanks for your warm welcoming or hospitality"......That's English for you,.....Alashe.

English lang, is different from yoruba LAG. Not all what you say in yoruba lang has the same interpretation in eng. lag. because yoruba has different ways of expression while eng does not have. for instance, E KU ILE,

I think Yoruba has different ways of expressing greetings you can't compere it to English
