when you yawn. First, your mouth
opens, and your jaw drops, allowing
as much air as possible to be taken in.
When you inhale, the air taken in is

expands the lungs to capacity and then some of the air is blown back out.

This is as a result of the mirror neurons in the brain which is sensitive to the movement and intentions of others..mirror neurons allows you to mirror another person, or to feel what he /she feels without thinking about it..

Seriously I skyped with my sister on chrismas day and everytime she yawned, I did d same. I know yawning is contagious, but how do u xplain it when there's so much distance. She's in Atlanta, and am in Nigeria.beats me still

There is a brain organ responsible for it of which i unfortunately cannot recall its name. When you see someone yawn, that organ fires up and you mirror what that person does unconsciously...the same thing goes for when watching a movie with other people, the same parts of the brain are fired up.
