You are right, a true Christian will not insult another religion. However, most Christians whether they are true or nominal are trying to make sense of the atrocities that are happening mainly in Northern Nigeria primarily against Christians. If it's not bombing of churches, killing of innocent Christian women and children, it's burning of their businesses, killing innocent people.

Do you hear of news in the South were Christians militants bombs a Mosque? Or Christians militants slit the throats of innocent people based on their religious leanings? Or do you hear of Atheist or other religions killing Muslims or killing Christians. Why does it "ALWAYS" have to be somehow related to Islam? There is a constant trail here and this is not the first time it has happened. So, you have to explain why these so called "Islamic militants" - which means they are Muslims by the way are always killing Christians in particular. What problems do they have with Christians?
