Let's Pray For Our Leaders And Not Insult Them In 2013 by ujoatu(m): 3:21am On Dec 31, 2012 |
Why do we insult and curse our leaders. A favourite past time of ours is to insult our leaders calling them names like Retarding, zombie, useless etc. I personally do not think its good as our religions urges ur 2 pary 4 our leaders.I dnt believe that GEJ sits at aso rock doing nothing but sipping moet. In the area I live,we now have light for 18hrs out of 24hrs a day. That's an achievement. What pains me most is that its our youths some of whom have never been course reps in their lives that trades these insults. If you ve ever been in any position of leadership, then u get 2 understand. Let's start 2013 by praying 4 our leaders so it canbe well with us and 4 those who are bent on continuing this, take it from me, WHEN YOU GET OLD ENOUGH TO BE A LEADER 2, INSULTS AND CURSES WOULD BE THROWN AT YOU AS WELL.AMEN 16 Likes |

It's good to pray for leaders. I dont believe in insulting them. But that shouldnt stop a genuinely concerned citizen from constantly critiquing what they do with the power at their disposal to keep them on their toes, constantly reminding them to do their job. 5 Likes |

CrazyMan: I will only pray for them when I'm fully convinced that they're praying for me as well.we should pray for them as the bible and quoran demands. also they are controlling our collective resources. if we support and pray 4 them,we can then condemn them when they fail after their tenure ends. |

You pray for them while they steal what they are meant to use to provide basic services for you and your family and give your children a better future? Yeah, keep praying and while you are at it, fast and donate your food to them as well. 4 Likes |

The ACN propagandist are the biggest culprit. They know nothing else besides abuses, curses and insults. They think that is the only way their principals in ACN can win the 2015 elections. All I can say to those who abuse, curse and insult others is SORRY |

We are humans with feelings and we respond according to our conditions and enviroments, if our leaders treat us right we pray and praised them, if they treat us otherwise they should expect the opposite of praises and prayers 3 Likes |

Rather put it this way; Let the leaders start doing the right things so as not to be insulted by us. A report on daily trust online has it that; 'the senate were on holiday for 158 days and only had plenary section for 100days in 2012' . Check their salaries and their works and tell me to keep quiet when larger % of the citizens lives below poverty line. It is your like that legitimize their looting and make the rest of us coward. I don't think you are more religious than Martin Luther King junior a Reverend who freed the blacks in U.S from discrimination through his DEMONSTRATION. 3 Likes |

Your position's absolutely laudable. This should be the best way to commence this new year of prosperity & optimism. We should pray for our leaders. We should also lambast them. But let us do that constructively & objectively.May God continue to bless us.May God continue to bless Nigeria. Happy new year. |

Yea, one would like to wish for such sentiment as the Op has put it for our rulers (leaders), but, i think it goes both ways. I don't think i can pray for God's mercy, blessing or protection for a group of people who only think and care about themselves and their closest family and friends at the expense of a 150 Million plus nigerians I just can't!. I am not the type to be taken for a ride with my own national wealth nor am i the type to "Suffer and smile" all in the name of being passive My own is.. Treat people the way you would want to be treated. Shikenan!. |

Re: Let's Pray For Our Leaders And Not Insult Them In 2013 by cockyjay: 4:04pm On Jan 01, 2013 |
Do they insult us? Yes they do. They think we're fools. They know the right thing but they refuse to do it. They made promises before elections yet they've refused to keep them. They can insult us everyday but we shouldn't insult them. Now prayer Do they pray for us? I don't think so. If they pray for us then they have our interest at heart. If they had our interest at heart all the loothing and stealing would have stopped. Their negligence and corruption has killed thousands of Nigerians. So tell me, why should we pray for them I suggest we upgrade from just insults alone and use what ever we have to swear for them 2 Likes |

PROPAGANDISTS ARE THE WORST PEOPLE YOU CAN FIND IN ANY COUNTRY BECAUSE TO THEM NOTHING MATTERS BUT THEIR MYOPIC SELFISH INTEREST AND THIS PITCHES THEM AGAINST THE ORDINARY PEOPLE AND IT'S NOT GOOD FOR A COUNTRY LIKE NIGERIA CONSIDERING WHAT WE ARE PASSING THROUGH RIGHT NOW. Prayers will do absolutely nothing...In order for something to work properly you have to get up and physically fix the problem, not pray that it will get fixed, magically. We need to task our leaders and holding them accountable for the things they do. Not just watch from the sidelines like zombies while they steal millions from our nation. 1 Like |
