So you mean i have to download html and css,java and the likes also.

Please can you share me links where i can download all this things
Html and css are not programming languages. You just write them in an IDE like visual basic and the likes.

Java is a programming language, and the environment for java must be downloaded and installed.

Daejoyoung:

You download and install the particular programming language or a particular package that comes with all the dependencies ( e.g anaconda in the case of python).

After that you can program automatically from your command prompt and lDLE.

To make your work easier, you then download and install an lDE( e.g pycharm for python).
But if you got python through anaconda, you have almost everything you need included in your package.

Alternatively you can program online from some platforms that allow you practice for free, without downloading or installing anything.

Please am new to programming. i've been watching python tutorial. But i think i need someone to put me through a bit.

Try to solve exercises from a book on each topic you have learnt. Sfter learning 5 topics, build a project or try to analyse a project that makes use of those topics.

Hey guys, so, I'm trying my hands on this exercise:

The Collatz Sequence Write a function named collatz() that has one parameter named number. If number is even, then collatz() should print number // 2 and return this value. If number is odd, then collatz() should print and return 3 * number + 1. Then write a program that lets the user type in an integer and that keeps calling collatz() on that number until the function returns the value 1. (Amazingly enough, this sequence actually works for any integer—sooner or later, using this sequence, you’ll arrive at 1! Even mathematicians aren’t sure why. Your program is exploring what’s called the Collatz sequence, sometimes called “the simplest impossible math problem.”) Remember to convert the return value from input() to an integer with the int() function; otherwise, it will be a string value. Hint: An integer number is even if number % 2 == 0, and it’s odd if number % 2 == 1.

Here's my code:

def collatz(number):
if number % 2 == 0:
return print(number // 2)
elif number % 2 == 1:
return print(3 * number + 1)

number =int(input())
while number != 1:
collatz(number)

What am I not doing right?

And all

Try this.
def collatz(number):
# test if the number is even
# If number is odd, then collatz() should print and return 3 * number + 1
if number % 2 == 0:
print(f'{number} // 2 : {number//2}')
return (number // 2)
else:
print(f'3 * {number} + 1 : {3 * number + 1}')
return (3 * number + 1)

userInput = int(input('Enter an integer: ')) #this line gets userInput

while userInput != 1:
userInput = collatz(userInput)

I have downloaded both the full anaconda distribution as well as python from python website. Both have failed to install.
The error message when I try installing the python is: "the program can't start bc api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll is missing from your computer".
I googled the error code and tried to fix it as demonstrated on the YouTube video, but it still doesn't work.
I've also tried installing MS visual code, but that also failed.
Don't know why I'm having these issues.

Check the folders for views.py and urls.py. I think it can't read it from the folder, or try importing views directly from your app.
For example if the name of your app is blog, then write:

from blog import views

It's a folder problem, I believe.
