It sounds bogus for two reasons:

1. They would probably invite successful candidates for discussion of terms, verification/identity checks and health examinations before giving out employment letters

2. If they had started giving out letters I should have received mine.

By the way, this is not a job though. It's a graduate programme. I think everyone should sort of keep that in perspective. The training begins in the classroom apparently and progresses with each trainee being assigned to a suitable speciality (such as quarry division, bagging, control room etc.) Getting a job afterwards is subject to availability and performance after the evaluation (which is done after the training programme on a per candidate basis.) Further, I heard UniCem is planning to take 30 candidates- 24 Cross Riverians and 6 others.

I will not debate the number of Cross Riverians with you as I am not an insider, but I had it on pretty good authority. I might have heard wrong, possibly.

Not yet. I'm really starting to lose faith. Their recruitment process is really starting to look dodgy and dishonest. I've heard (from a reliable source) that there was a second test held at their main office in Calabar on Wednesday. So it may be that they further narrowed down the candidates after the initial Congratulatory messages.
