We are a fast growing company located in Lagos state and we are in need of the services of a Sales and Marketing Officer.

Job Purpose:
To assist with the implementation of the marketing strategy with specific objectives and targets as agreed as well as sale of the company’s goods and services. Will approach potential customers with the aim of winning new business and for making repeat sales to Company’s existing customers.
Overall Duties:

1. Marketing
• To assist with the preparation and implementation of the marketing strategy with specific objectives and targets as agreed.
• Advising on forthcoming product developments and discussing special promotions.
• Analysing and investigating price, demand and competition
• Devising and presenting ideas and strategies
• Attending performances and other events as required out of normal office hours.
• Report Writing
• Assists with Compiling and distributing financial and statistical information
• Monitors own performance.
• Assists with all market research, analysis and update of Company’s marketing plans and marketing reports.
• Maintains a marketing diary with copies of adverts, promotions and so on.

2. Sales
• Listening to customer requirements and presenting appropriately to make a sale.
• Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers in person and via telephone calls and emails.
• Cold calling to arrange meetings with potential customers to prospect for new business.
• Responding to incoming email and phone enquiries.
• Acting as a contact between the company and its existing and potential markets.
• Negotiating the terms of an agreement and closing sales.
• Gathering market and customer information.
• Representing the organization at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations.
• Negotiating on price, costs, delivery and specifications with Clients and Supervisor.
• Challenging any objections with a view to getting the customer to buy.
• Creating detailed proposal documents, often as part of a formal bidding process that is largely dictated by the prospective customer.
• Reviewing your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets.
• Gaining a clear understanding of customers' businesses and requirements.
• Making accurate, rapid cost calculations and providing customers with quotations.
• Feeding future buying trends back to the company.
