does it hangs on starting up ?
do you have norton installed ?

Mermory ram is 2gb ..... Is til hangn, I don't av norton installn on it.

Cause could be Malware infection. Google 'Malwarebytes anti-malware', download it for free and scan your laptop for malware.

restart keep pressing f10 and you'd see a bios screen
go to diagos...run hard drive test make sure laptop is running on charger power

Does it passed the HD Test ?

Has the laptop been cleaned before ?

Laptop may be overheating ?

Here's my diagnostics for you.

Upgrade it to 4gb at a computer shop
run defragment. also click start, computer make sure you're running
vista service pack 2 or Window 7 service pack 1

click start, all programs accessories, run and type in
wuapp press enter L@@k you must have about 30-50 update available

if you live in nigeria pls dont install it because it will eat all
your internet bundle/credit. That naija for you

We've noted the laptop is hanging but what was the
hd test result. restart laptop keep pressing f10 go to
diagnostics and select hard drive test. make sure there's
enough battery power or AC powered to finish the hd test
and if possible run the memory test

Next Time Back up your files and format, as for me i hate hanging,viruses, PC malaria, etc formating is always the best solution for me
