banks don't just COUNT money, there are other specialized roles other than cash tellers and customer service, besides Engineers may be needed in departments such as IT.

It's sometimes good to be flexible wen it come to professional career, becos u read engineering does not mean u must practice engineering, we've seen professionals excel outside their field.

Also, when it comes to pay, would you rather earn pea nuts (and die) in a so called Engineering field rather than settling for better outside your field. Besides some Engineers core interests may not exactly be rooted in enginerring, it may span even up to marketing.

Just pursue were your interest is, weather the motivation is money or process, u derive more fulfilment and hence excel.
