Selling/buying of child is illegal and since it‘s illegal, you don‘t need anyone to tell you that it is a sin.

It's not a sin but God has regulations for it..

When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she will not be freed at the end of six years as the men are. If she does not please the man who bought her, he may allow her to be bought back again. But he is not allowed to sell her to foreigners, since he is the one who broke the contract with her. And if the slave girl's owner arranges for her to marry his son, he may no longer treat her as a slave girl, but he must treat her as his daughter. If he himself marries her and then takes another wife, he may not reduce her food or clothing or fail to sleep with her as his wife. If he fails in any of these three ways, she may leave as a free woman without making any payment. (Exodus 21:7-11 NLT)

Consider also the story of Abraham, Sarah and Hagar..
Thank me later..

THAT IS WHY JESUS CAME TO THE WORLD TO CHANGE THE WRONG THINGS THAT MAKE PEOPLE SIN.

Adoption doesn't mean selling ur child. Sometimes, pple give their children up for adoption cos they want the kids to have a life better than the one they can offer their children.

BTW, all Christians are adopted.

Giving up a child you know you don't have what it takes to provide for - for adoption isn't a sin.

AND U TALK MONEY AND FOR GET THE BABY?
Re: Adoption: Is It A Sin Or Not? by CrazyMan(m): 12:15am On Jan 16, 2013
What's with you and money...if you give up your child, you're definitely going to be compensated.

So provided you go through the right channel, its definitely not a sin.

WILL GOD BE HAPPY ABOUT IT?
Re: Adoption: Is It A Sin Or Not? by Alaafialoro(m): 8:55am On Jan 16, 2013
^^^ bruv, if you give up a child for adoption through the right channel, the money paid is meant for medical care of the mother, the lawyer involved and the institution through which the deal is done, hence the money paid is not in actually sense given to the mother as ‘sales fee‘ for the child ‘bought‘. In that case, it is not a sin since she is rather giving up the child to have better life.
