Ikechukwu09: I used to be here some years back, precisely 2010. Its good to know that Jazinogold is still in this business. I "dormo" his service to aspiring students.
I am equally dumbfounded at this years performance; indeed a lot went under jamb's bridge this year. There are many theories thrown about in an attempt to explicate this years dismal performance, but its not in the powers of any outsider to understand what transpired in ojerinde's vaulted office.
However, i'd urge those who scored above 200 to count themselves lucky, know that they are favoured and never attempt to change their courses as it appears jamb has already separated the sheeps from the goats with its marking scheme. Why do i say this? It is apparent that the number of people that will be writing post utme this year will be way lesser than the previous years as most people obviously did not make up to 200, which is the cut-off mark for "seriously minded" schools. This also spoils business for universities that make fortunes from the sale of postutme forms. So i think this is sort of pretty deliberate.
All i have said sufficiently applies to Uniben and most federal universities. So if you scored above 200, keep your fingers crossed as you wait for dibu's annoncement of cutt-off marks which is the deciding factor for most candidates.

I totally agree with you... I think those that scored 200 and above are most likely to be admitted... I mean it's just a simple logic...

To everything there's a reason,,we don't know how it was marked,,we also don't know who cheated,and the methods used by jamb to fish out the culprits,,like I said,,ur idea of an Article to the media is a great idea,,but most time peaceful protest as we want to believe sometimes ends in voilence,,I guess u must have thought this one through,,how far can u go just to be heard?? Is the question u shud ask urself and how much prove do u have that it was clearly not the fault of the students in one way or the other,,not justifying whatever,,but the statistics says,,pple did beta than last year,,now he may be lying(ojerinde) but then again,,who knows,,u have to get all ur facts b4 protesting,,or what u call peaceful might not be so peaceful when its down to dog fights....well u do what u must,and stay safe,,we know ur tryna be a good citizen,,I guess in the end,,that's what really matters@METAPHYSIST

ur chances are slim but then again,,its not impossible,,read hard bro and I'm pretty sure the sky will be ur starting point...all the best and wish u a happy white and black attire in advance...lol

i want 2 believe that u guys are reading very well now. even i was told about the mass failure in jamb, i don't want many of u that score low mark like 200-210 to be sorrowful as many of u are thinking of changing course. if u know that u did ur jamb by ur personal effort then i think u should double that reading speed to read well for post-utme. it is very possible to score 80 in post utme if u can prepare very well it is easier compare to jamb. just start reading now. get past question as guideline and believe in God. call me on how to get the past question in ur state @ 07068775343. thanks and God bless.

The statistics jamb provided are clearly not accurate. And not like its the first time Nigeria has gotten their statistics wrong. If jamb cant even calculate the stats properly, how more our results.

If u knw deep dow within u dat u dint write d Jamb urself n u had a low score say btwn 200 n 230.I suggest u look 4 d courses at d bottom of ur faculty.
Dnt bother goin 4 d likes of....Pol sci,Ecostat,Medcine,Pharmacy,Masscon etc. cuz u r likely 2 missout.U got lucky in Jamb,bt Putme z kinda stingy wit their "luck".

my broda u tried. Bt let me corect u,esp in d sciences,i dnt knw much abt d social sci, art. Dix are d merit cut off(agregate score nt pume only). MEDICINE 65, PHARMACY 60,DENTISTRY 61, d rest sciences were majorly 50 and above excludin NURSING .MEDICAL LABORATORY SCI. Dix dosnt exclude d fact dat some ppl below dix cut off were nt admitd,bt dy ar eida staf kids or tru influence. Bt d oficial cut of ar as above, am in colege of medicine,and my name is kely.b free 2 ask anytin u wana knw. IF I GAT D RITE INFO ,b rest asured i wil let it out. Tanx

my guy 1st of all jamb scores are generaly low. Btw 200 n 220. Secndly only 607 stdnt had btw 260 n 299. Dix means dat d majority of stdnt dat wil b competin 4 medicine wil hv scores mostly in d range of 200 to 230. I certainly asure u dat pume cut of 4 medicine wud nt b mordan 65. (agregat). Nd it cud b les dan. Very sure of dat. Wt ur 215, u already hv 27. Xo u nid to score 76 in pume 2 mk medicine. If d cut of is 65 jux like last year.D cut of is most likely to b 63.due to poor parfomance in jamb. Xo if u knw u kant sctore at least 71,jux change institution.

Bros...... How person wan take score 80 all over 80? Na machine?? My advice to yuh is to write the exams and don't be scared. There is no annual standard cut-off mark. Each year the cut-ff mark changes for each dept. So... My brother, aim for the skies, cuss U gat no limit. Bliv.... Me on this.

When I gained admission in 2011, my post utme score was not divided and my jamb was not accurately divided according to the lots of post I've been reading. I truly believe there is no logic to the grading. I scored 51 in my post-utme and 265 in my jamb; my average score: 59. So tell me if your percentage logic is authentic.

265/8=33.1, 51/2=25.5, then 33.1+ 25.5 =58.6 aprox 59. Dats it

@kely..am really confused,dnt know what to do..i had 227 nd i applied 4 med..am thinking of buying change of course form 2 med lab..i applied 4 med lab in 2011 wit 245 as utme score nd 58 as pume score, i was admitted but neco gce ruined it.. dnt know if i dnt meet cut off 4 medicine i wud be given basic medical science, dnt want to be thrown 2 agric..cos dats where med students are always thrown..shud i switch or stay nd also wit high cgpa can i switch 2 pharmacy since med nd dentistry dnt accept inter departmental transfer?
