Longer distances pay faster but i doubt you can get 2ce your investment in 12months. You can make that in 18months with a careful driver. Take your drivers on driving tests before you hand them your car keys. Am not an expert though.

If you buy the bus for N1m, you wil get N1,5m tops. Not N2m.

so if u re based in lagos; i think getting a bus and staying in d flow of traffic will b best for u.

Just imagine u re @ Oshodi; Egbeda; Mile 2; Iyana-Iba etc as early as 5-6am; u will get a full load to the Island

Then later; during closing time; u re @ Ajose round about; Eko-Hotel; CMS; Obalende etc... u will still a full load back to the main land.

depending on the type of bus; @ least u will get 200 naira per person.

well; you are partly right.but staying in those traffics is not easy that is why those drivers faces looks so rough cos d of heat they face each day. besides , doing transport biz isn't as easy as most ppl think in lagos dis days. the govt policies are affecting everybody . but then, if u buy good tokunbo car for taxi biz its ok to give out to a fair or averagely good person base on ur assesment. but i dont advice "BUS" cos its like more eyes are on them(bus). finally , i advice not to buy Nigerian used car to give out for taxi biz cos it will turn d person to a bad driver even if he's a good one. unless you can drive it urself and face the itches. my candid and practical opinion doh.

Fuel economy cars are best advised cars to use for this kinda business.
Am into the business, it's smt I just venture into as a result of employment situation of our country.
I use Golf3 and it's very good in fuel saving and easy to maintain.
Other transporters I know use Nissan Almera, without it's also economy.

Taxi business is very lucrative. If you want to make just some side income to support, you can give your car to a driver. But if you are looking to doing it as a business with maximum profit margin, make sure to involve one who is already in the line. There is a clause to its profitability, how long that clause lapse depends on you.
