Why do we have to over hype situation simply because our expectations are too high. Many of us wuld disappointed self when we eventually collect our employment letter in terms of the salary. Some will not even be selected at all so why make it do or die affair. God if this job is the choosen and the right one for me, then take control and if not then take it away. Want thing I knw is that, we can not all remain jobless for ever. Let's be patient and belif more on God. God bless us all.

There are hundreds of jobs everyday so apply for them. U don't know which one might end up being ur dream job.NIMC no fit pay pass 60k - 70k, so why not apply for other jobs dan place our hopes only on NIMC job.

. NIMC pays abt 120k, that's as at wen it wasn't given much attention... Now, the FG is giving it special attention, its going higher than that... Just correcting u.. Thanks

Is it not too soon to be expecting the NIMC exam result? after all, they were supposed to have shown us the result immediately since the exam was computer based.
I hope it's not one of those FG 419 gimmicks.

The rising level of unemployment in the country has manifested as over 158,000 graduates responded to the recent call on applicants by the National Identity Management Commission, (NIMC) to register and provide Nigerians with a biometric identity system.


NIMC is opening the enrolment centres in its state offices nationwide following the successful certification of the premises based on its adoption of global best practice.

Sources close to the commission said that the external consultants who were appointed to manage the recruitment process have submitted the full list of those who applied and are now screening the applicants to have a shortlist for possible interview.

According to the sources, a CBT Computer Based Test will be administered to all the short-listed applicants before the principles of merit, federal character, catchment area, spread among others are applied.

The preliminary report of the consulting firm also showed that there were between 100 per cent to 1,000 per cent over subscription in each of the over 94 job functions advertised.

It was gathered that the number could have been more had those who had difficulties in filling the form been able to do so before the close of the application. The online application system is a test process which was adopted to deliberately test the IT usage and competency of the applicants.

Those who are unable to fill the simple online application form might not be able to sit for let alone pass the Computer Based Aptitude Test and so it will be difficult to employ them now that the Commission is in a hurry to kick off the nationwide enrolment process come April 2013.
It has also been revealed that successful candidates, who will be employed in batches, will be sent on between two to six weeks training before they are finally deployed. They will also be cleared by the security agencies.

Director Corporate Communication of NIMC, Mr. Anthony Okwudiafor, said: "The enrollment centres which now have a minimum of 10 enrolment units each, will be scaled up to over 20 at the time the process will be formally launched. Each local government area is expected to have at least one functional office for enrolment daily.

Okwudiafor, who spoke to THISDAY on telephone, also said that plans for the deployment of the Enrolment Units to Local Government areas and also the deployment of Mobile Enrolment Centres nationwide were ongoing and the pilot for these phases would commence March, shortly before the formal launch of the scheme centres, sources have revealed include: a provision for self-registration, provision of alternative sources of power and presence of security personnel in most cases. The NIMC Pre-Enrolment Portal has also been deployed and is being tested.

The DG/CEO of NIMC, Mr. Chris Onyemenam,  had said the commission was planning for the formal launch of the scheme in the second quarter of 2013. Already the pilot scheme is experiencing a large turnout especially in Lagos, Port Harcourt, Calabar and the state capital, Abuja

NIMC Jobs: Over 150,000 Nigerians Applied

Job Description

OVER 150,000 unemployed graduates are jostling for recruitment into the services of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC).

The commission, in an effort to boost its staff strength, recently conducted aptitude test in six locations spread across the country.

According to the Director, Corporate Communication, Mr Anthony Okwudiafor, over 150,000 unemployed Nigerians responded to the recruitment advertorials, which appeared in six national dailies.

He noted that the examination, which covered questions in current affairs, Mathematics and English, was essentially computer-based.

The purpose of this, according to the Director, Human Capital Management, Ms Winifred Ojeih, was to provide a level playing field for all qualified Nigerians.

She said all the applicants had equal opportunity of working in the commission once they excelled in the aptitude test and subsequent oral interview sessions scheduled for this month.

Meanwhile, the Director General and Chief Executive of NIMC, Mr Chris Onyemenam, has warned applicants not to offer money to anybody in order to secure employment.

Onyemenam, who said the NIMC jobs are not for sale, added that if anyone was caught either receiving or giving money, such would be handed over to the law enforcement agencies for prosecution.

i guess some people complained about not a ble to write due to distance and stuffs like that, so why not.......i havent replied the text, still not decisive about where to choose either Ilorin or Akure

pls, help a brother. I'v tot of choosing lagos which is more convienient for me bt i hv issues with accommodation. Can anybody help, pls? I left d test cos i was initially sent to unilorin. No good is lost man. Tnx in anticipation.

Don'f forget the issue of catachment. A certain number must be employed frm all over Nigeria. I guess they r doin this to balance the equation.
