i knw. But you must admit that one has to knw of the existence of these terms, before looking it up in Google. And am wondering if he actually lives IN Google to have these terms and poetry forms handy.

i see you've written yours? Good for you. But i don't think i can pull it tru. I don't like rules and restriction when am writing a poem, I've always been a fan of 'as the spirit leads' i can't start counting syllables when am supposed to be flowing.

Its tiring to me...

Cuz you've bn a bad girl tongue
Now say this pledge
"I henceforth promise to follow basic rules of poetry
And shall write on poetry forms known and unknown to me.
I hereby ask that the spirit leads me to conform with what is conformable in poetry.
These i pledge in Apollo, Athena, Bragi' and Milil's name."

ON THE FENCE

Which titular character do I follow?
When am too careful, they called me a slug
Being outspoken, they say is too proud
When I sit back, they say is not active
Being mute, they say is a fool.

This is the world
That I have learnt so many words
Trying to make people laugh, they say he is not serious.
Frowning they say make me ugly
Being gregarious, they say I keep bad company
And while am lonely, they say am wicked.

Mopping the tiles, they say I acted like a mad man
Abandoning it, they say is too dirty
Each time I protest, they say he complained too much
When I demand, they say is not contented.

This is the world
That I have learnt to see but not talk
When I give, they tagged me the prodigal son
Yet, my father is not Alico Dangote
If I didn’t give, they rather call me ijebu man.

Where do I go from here?
When I move forward, they say I haven’t waited for God time
When I standstill, they say is not progressing
When I move back, they laugh at me
The best option is to be myself.

1967
In fissure,
Rooted in disarray.
Roarin' belligerents
Swallowed in dawn of jingoism.
And stoic warmonger, down for
patriotism.
Alas! And Lo! It came like a heavy
wind, up in the sky.
Gusting from the north,
Strafed myriad souls and repleted
our homelessness.
We dashed from our 'homes'
Like sored to madness;
'Osondú', With tattered bodies
like debris of thousand fragments
in a scampered refuge.
Leaving every aside,
Even the eccentric amulet clads of
'Odéshi'.
We flee, nursing our wounds
And sobs for the lost.
Maintaining the nature of man
and Exalting the Creator for we
the 'remains'. —

SELAH.

This was what the whole wide world would call madness
The day you spot your spouse snooping thy neighbours'
This spouse must be playing harlotry with your neighbour. Selah
Your adducings.
Now no new things under this sun
Your culture originally allows a strange man to kiss the cheeks of your missus
Ours averses
Such ludicrous verse
Guilotining would walking in next what
Should you expect?
Selah.

We were all born to die
To die to be born again. Selah
Everything in this extra-galactic nebular is in two-some
Death and life
Neither and either
Male and female
Good and evil
Deux es machina and scylla and chabdis
And... Selah
We all came here to go back
Every right baby, be it born by the vagina or by breaking the...
Selah...
We were once babies
On the day we were born by our mommas we should cry
We all cried
If we didn't that doctor or nurse would have shook his or her head whispering -
"Sorry... You just try again later..."
We all came here with pain, shocky shrieks
Mummy laughed
Daddy jumped up hitting his heaviest head against the asbestors
Fellas of same congratulated... Selah.
No one will die with shrieking and keep shrieking o'er and o'er
We were licensed to live on earth till now cos
Our being in pain was affirmed to being real
Odd
When pain becomes a good thing then that means something's really rightly wrong
Cos much more would loom. Selah
See but someone that got ran o'er
By a bulbous Bulldozer may shriek a sec.
But that's the end.
No more sorrow Selah.

In Africa. Selah
We celebrate the deads more than the livings
The wailings when someone pops the cog alternates that of the
Whites
Whites put on blacks and kiss and embrace and burn or interr but in here
After heinous weeks of wailings, empathy's exchange
Fights arouse o'er the lucre meant to buy some big cow and...
To be munched by same mourners back then.
Yes life goes on no matter what
Even Madiba died yesterday
Burried this morning
See her wives and children now taking their brunch in euphoria
Selah.
In all sanity theirs madness and
In inverse too
In every pain their's joy and
In inverse too
In this tick darkness their is awesome light
But light remains a sacred subject
Selah.

I remember few days ago when I visited the belle I cherished the most
She said she was sleeping whilst
Pressing her phone right on her mat
She told me she was sleeping
When she was pinging, poking my sore wound
Can you be on your bed sleeping and still be pressing your Tecno Android?
I chuckled...
Selah.
All this is madness too...

In the begining, everything
Beginning from nothing
Got created
God created everything and nothing from nothingness
Within: one, two, three, four, five, six, seven days
And He selah[ed]...
Let this be understood you true worshippers
Selah.

Not all snakes in the bushes in the streets have bitten humans before
But right in your Limo you can kill zillions
With the screaches of your bulky tyres.

CAROL - ACROSTIC.

Christ came around really from Godhead to liberate
All mankind; He the second Adam
Rise up all ye that are alive and adead
Opt to yonder your minds o ye and extol thee
Lord Jesu that was born to cleanse us all for everlasting's sake... http://www.poetfreak.com/text/269402/o-nelson-mandela-re-post-from-july-14-2013-when-it-was-rumoured-that-hed-pop-the-cog-to-my-chagrin.html

Two pairs have the dragonfly,
As well as the beetle...
Such wonder in its compound eye,
How inspiring to you an' me!

Jeremiah

Tiny shards of one of these two muscled tumbler of affection,
once attuned,
will litter the bare ground like jagged fragments of glass,
blotched in red,
in disperse by the aimless wind;
but the wielder of the hammer
(the weapon of destruction)
is still shrouded in the shade of mystery.

But today,
two hands of different bodies are one
and in undulating laughter, blinded by love,
they walk by,
oblivious to the inevitable occurrence of an impending doom.

DA SONGS N' DA SKANKINGS OF DA DEADS.

This is all it
We've all one time or another thrusted
Some dirt on a dead
Dear friend
Now bros. n' sissies here we're, dead
They'd done same, fired the dirt
The guns gaunted
The wailings
Now
Us alone at the graveyard.
