goldylock: @toba you can do dry fasting or wet or fruit fasting it actually depends how you r convinced you wanna do it while concentrating on prayer. Fasting is waiting on the lord not killing yourself. You don't wanna be dehydrated neither do you expect people with special cases like pregnant women or not very strong people healthwise to do the dry fast. God bless us all U may be right but i think the ideal fast is the kind of Jesus' fast. No Food no water. Personally i feel eating or drinking water is no fast. What distinguishes us from the Muslims that eat breakfast at 4.30am and still claims to be fasting? I think its personal depending all how we look at it. May God reward us |

Fasting its a spiritual way of getting close to GOD with prayer. Fasting start from 12am miDnight, and u can brake it either 12pm, 3pm,and 6pm depending on your strenght, some can fast all thruogh the fasting period without eating or drinking water, remember JESUS fasted for forty days and forty night, GOD blessed us all AMEN 1 Like |

This is no fast. Fasting means denying urself what you would normally do. You dont have to drink water till you break your fast in the evening. Mine is 12am Friday morning till 6pm Friday evening without eating/drinking anything.
Does it really matter? I eat as i like a day before the fast and it doesnt have any Negative effect on me.

toba: U may be right but i think the ideal fast is the kind of Jesus' fast. No Food no water. Personally i feel eating or drinking water is no fast. What distinguishes us from the Muslims that eat breakfast at 4.30am and still claims to be fasting?
I think its personal depending all how we look at it. May God reward us Muslims 'claim' to fast or they actually fast. Do I detect hint of religious intolerance here? Their Quaran says they should fast between sunrise and sunset in a specific month. That is what their God decree and they follow it. Any problem with that? If they hit back now asking you to specifically point to bible verse(s) that give Christians different leeways they introduce to fasting like 12am - 6pm; 6am-6pm; 6am - 12noon; 6am-3pm; some sipping water while fasting; some eating only fruits; even different month of fasting among different denominations; can u take up the challenge? I wish you peace and spiritual uplifting as you embark on your fasting and as you make efforts to draw nearer to your God as demanded by your faith. |

It was few weeks ago that the sun of year 2013 appeared with the Sun of righteousness Himself standing by it. The message of the Sun sent to us through His representative, Pastor E.A. Adeboye, at the very beginning, has given us the assurance that, as we journey towards the Sun of Signs and Wonders, very soon, in His wonderful ways, either as a Nation, family, or an individual, the shadow of our burdens will be cast behind us.
Naturally speaking, it is noted that the same sun from above that solidifies the clay melts the snow! Hence the manifestation of Signs and Wonders could be in favour of a man or otherwise, depending on the spiritual nature of the person before God. 
Now, there can be no Signs or Wonders without certain notable challenges. Therefore, this year will also be noted for HIGH PRAISES and INTENSIVE PRAYERS to our God, whose name is WONDERFUL.
As we stand before Him like Elijah, praise Him like David, confess Him like Daniel and the three Hebrews, you are welcome into the realms of SIGNS AND WONDERS.
WEEK ONE (FEBRUARY 1-2)
THANKSGIVING
1. Thank God for His mercy on RCCG. Rom. 9: 15-16
2. Thank God for what He is doing in Nigeria.
3. Thank God for His mercy all over the world.
4. Thank God for not allowing the enemy to have none of his ways on RCCG Ps. 124.

You should be banned for false alarming Sir, You are wrong 1. Have you forgotten CAN warning El Rufai not to set this country on fire? If Christians were truly tolerant, how will a retweet by El Rufai set the country on fire? Will "tolerant" Christians not just ignore and/or pray for him to "see the light". Besides only El Rufai was warned,the Christian who originated the tweet got no mention 2. Do you want us to count the number of insults by Christians on Allah and His Messenger (PBUH) in the Islam section and compare same to the insults on Christians by Muslims? 3. Your belief does not need to be imposed on others I really believe that your beliefs have irredeemable kinks Do you truly believe that the Merciful God will allow people to MURDER His "son" for the sins of some third party which the son did not participate in, did not encourage, did not benefit from etc So God could not have exercised the prerogative of Mercy to just say, "My Son, Go"? If He did, who would challenge Him? Please concentrate on your Work-in-Progress and leave alone a better religion |
