Artorius: Pls guys, what's the duration of the ijmb program in fut. And what's the cost of the programme (tuition fee). Somebody pls reply asap. Thanks. If you failed this year WAEC or you've written WAEC / JAMB more than once but you've not make your papers yet And You Really dont wanna stay at home this year, i think there's another way out for you. 1. I advice You to apply for ijmb ( i.e if you've written waec more than Once ) 2. Apply For Waec Gce which the registration is currently going on now.... I wanna talk about the 1st one which is ijmb. ijmb (INTERIM JOINT MARTICULATION BOARD) About ijmb ijmb is a 9 month intensive A'level Programme that can get you into 200level in any Nigerian University Of Yours Choice Upon Succesful Completion Of The Programme. This is a programme moderated by Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. It is designed to solve problems of admission for candidates seeking admission into Nigeria University without writting JAMB. The examination is conducted every year in designated Polytechnics and colleges Of Education, while the results is released by August. The number of subjects a student can enter for is (3) with respect to their chosen profession. MeanWhile, candidates with deficiency in O’level English Language and Mathematics can also remedy these subjects through the programme. During the programme you will be taught extensively, but only on three subjects. For example, if you wish to study Medicine or Biochemistry, then your subjests combination will be BIOLOGY , CHEMISTRY & PHYSICS. The final result is calculated in points. the higher your points, the better chance for you, that is: A B C D E F 5 4 3 2 1 0 SCORES GRADES POINTS 70-100% A 5Points 60-69% B 4Points 50-59% C 3Points 45-49% D 2Points 40-44% E 1Points 39%Below F 0Points Example: A student that registered for (3) Subjects with grade such as Physics A. Chemistry B. Biology C. the Total number of points scored will be as follows: Physics A= 5Points Chemistry B= 4Points Biology C= 3Points -------------------------------------------------------- Total 12 Point + 1 Points Bonus A point is awarded to the total point scored by every candidate provided he or she do not score (F) in any of the subject. REFRENCE CHECK PAGE 4 OF JAMB BROCHURE ITEM 2.2 (2) TO CONFIRM ijmb AS A REQUIREMENT FOR UNIVERSITY ADMISSION THROUGH DIRECT ENTRY. REGISTRATION has commenced, so try and get your form on time because the registration will stop very soon. REQUIREMENTS 1. 5 CREDIT PASS IN O'LEVEL EXAMS OR 6 CREDIT PASS IN TWO SETTINGS. Awaiting Result Can also apply. Tuition Fees/ School Fees Well, the price all depends on where you registered for the programme. In Public Centres i.e for those doing the programme in University i think they pay up to 180k to 200k and they spend more than 1 year to finish the programme. Just Keep 50 - 90k, so far 90k is the highest for private centers in Ilorin & they provide hostel accomodation sometimes. PLEASE watchout for private centres that guarantee you runs oo, its total scam. I know all kind of ijmb runs, its either you settle ur invigilators so u can photocopy expos or smuggle in answers which is not possible in ijmb cos most of the invigilators are mallams from the North. Also some private centres do give fake results to the students that failed. I know some of the acredited private centres where it is done in ilorin. Ask anymore questions and im here to help. ijmb SUBJECT COMBINATIONS Candidate is to select any THREE (3) A/L SUBJECTS From: Physics, Chemistry, biology, Mathematics &Geography for Sciences. Economics, Business management, Accounts, Government, Sociology, CRS/IRS, Literature for Arts/Social Sciences/ Humanities candidates. On completing the programme, successful candidates will gain admission into 200 level in the Universities. ijmb ACCEPTABILITY over 70% of university in Nigeria accept ijmb result for direct entry admission into 200 level check page 3 of jamb brochure for confirmation. The following universities accept ijmb e.g * UNILORIN * ABU * UNIJOS * FUT MINNA * UNIZIK * FUTA * UNICAL * UNIABUJA * UNIUYO * UNN * BUK * KWASU * FUT YOLA * OAU * RIVER STATE UNIVERSITY OF SCI/ TECH * FUTO * CROSS RIVER STATE UNIVERSITY * DELSU * IMSU * BENUE STATE UNIVERSITY * All private universities, * All universities in the north and South-South of Nigeria e.t.c. ** i can help you in giving you more info about the programme, also on how to get your form online. ( Am Not Requesting For Any Money Am Just Trying To Help Out.) HOLLA AT ME 07061082694 or Donmonc4real@gmail.com or Better Still Comment on The Thread ** |

THANK GOD ASUU MIGHT BE CALLED OFF SOON.... The meeting between the Federal Government and the striking Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, may have yielded results, as there are now indications the on-going strike might be called off next Thursday. Governor of Benue State, Mr Gabriel Suswam who dropped this hint Friday said ASUU and the Federal Government had reached agreements on all the contentious issues that led to the industrial action except two. Suswam who was appointed as Chairman of the Needs Assessment Implementation Committee of the Federal Government said after next Thursday’s deliberations between his Committee and the various agencies of government funding tertiary education, all the contentious issues would likely be resolved. Suswam told journalists in Abuja after attending a meeting between the Federal Government’s delegation and ASUU that agreements had been reached by both parties on all issues save two. “We reached agreements on all issues except two. These two issues are those of earned allowances of lecturers and intervention for the federal universities. These are the only issues that are still outstanding. ”The Benue Governor further said he believed that by next week after his Committee would have arrived at an agreement on all the issues, ASUU would call off the strike. “The SGF would meet with the leadership of ASUU on the issue of earned allowances by next Monday. “Then my committee which is dealing with the issue of the needs assessment of the universities would meet again next Thursday and take another look at all the infrastructural deficits which the federal universities are facing. “If you go to our universities, you would agree that they are facing infrastructural deficits and that is why my committee would meet with all the funding agencies next Thursday for the purpose of prioritizing all the projects that need to be executed. We are going to invite all the agencies that are involved in the funding of the universities including the Central Bank of Nigeria. ”Suswam said agreement has been reached on retirement age for university lecturers, which has now been increased from 65 to 70 years; the constitution of the governing councils of the universities which has already been done by the Government; the setting up of a pension administrator and the issue of persuading companies operating in the country to set up research centers in the universities. “As far as I am concerned, if the issues concerning intervention and earned allowances are resolved next week, then the strike could be called off,” he said. Present at the meeting were Secretary to the Government of the Federation Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, Minister of Labour, Hon. Emeka Wogu, Minister of Education, Prof. Ruqayatu Rufai and President of Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Dr Nasir Fagge, among others. |
