As a result of over commitment of most Nigerians to their cultural dimensions coupled with tribal fears and domination ,type of consciousness engendered into Nigerians by the British imperialisms, ethnic discrimination has assumed full office in all aspects of our natural life, social,political,economic, educational,public service legal, technological and military systems. Recruitment of personnel into the federal and state owned establishment,civil service and industries are often done on ethnic consideration. Our social, political,educational, economic policies and programmes are rarely based on sound scientific appraisal but primarily on ethnic factors. The legal professional has not been exception. Offenders are sometimes discharged and acquitted while the innocent is convicted and imprisoned on ethnic basis. The bomber of quota in admission into the secondary school,university,police and armed forces appointments,etc is sometimes depend on which ethnic or sub-ethnic group that will benefit or loose from the exercise. These developments had resulted in poor national consciousness and all sort of sabotage in different fronts of our national engagements and consequently resulted to both internal and external instability and insecurity.
