The Nigerian Police Force Anti-bomb squad detonated a bomb in the NIPOST office at Area 10, Garki, under controlled circumstances.

The package complete with two N50 stamps was addressed to the finance minister, Ngozi Okonjo Iweala and was intercepted after postal workers discovered there was something fishy about the package.

The bomb squad was called due to the diligent observation of NIPOST staff, and as a result no life was lost.

This will be one of several attempt at the Finance Minister in the past few months after she began efforts to sanitize the Fuel Subsidy sector of the economy.

Late last year her mother was kidnapped by unknown assailants.
